1Password is seeking a passionate and innovative Vice President of Product Marketing to join our team. This individual will lead and expand our product marketing efforts, bringing deep expertise in cybersecurity and extensive experience in SaaS leadership. Your role will be crucial in driving our mission to make security simple and accessible for both businesses and individuals. Reporting directly to the Chief Marketing Officer, you will play a key role in shaping our product and messaging strategy, positioning us as leaders in the Identity and Access Management (IAM) category.
You will craft compelling narratives that highlight our product value propositions, differentiate 1Password from competitors, and establish our products as essential components of every cyber tech stack. Your efforts will accelerate urgency to buy and empower our product marketing, marketing, and sales teams to effectively position our products as the premier solution in the IAM space.
You will collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Partnerships teams to ensure cohesive and impactful product marketing strategies.
This position is remote, open to candidates located in Canada and the US.
What we’re looking for:
Experience: 10+ years in product marketing within the cybersecurity space is required, and 5+ years in a leadership role with a SaaS product company is necessary.
Proven Success: Demonstrated track record of developing and executing successful product marketing strategies in a dynamic technology environment, including geo-expansion.
Market Insight: Deep understanding of IAM products, market dynamics, and customer needs.
Leadership and Communication: Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and guide cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership: Define and execute a comprehensive product marketing strategy that aligns with company goals and market needs. Lead 1Password’s successful entry into the IAM market.
Team Leadership: Build, lead and mentor an already high-performing product marketing team. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
Market Intelligence:Conduct thorough market research to understand customer needs, competitive landscape, and market trends. Develop target buyer and user personas to inform product strategy and marketing campaigns
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with product management, sales, and marketing teams to ensure alignment on product messaging, launch strategies, and sales enablement.
Product Launch: Lead the product launch process to bring new innovations to market, raise customer awareness of new capabilities, and drive adoption and usage.
Content Development: Oversee the creation of high-impact content that communicates our value proposition, including sales pitch decks, white papers, case studies, product videos, and webpages.
Subject Matter Expertise: Support the marketing team with demand generation campaigns that resonate with our customers and drive adoption.
Solutions Marketing: Develop a solution-based marketing competency within the PMM organization and create messaging and content that positions 1Password as the best solution for access management challenges.
Technical Marketing: Ensure technical accuracy in all marketing materials and provide deep product expertise to customers and partners
Competitor Intelligence: Execute a competitive intelligence program that informs product roadmap priorities and enables sales with strong competitor battle cards and messaging.
Influential communication: Evangelize 1Password, our products, and our value proposition through thought leadership content, events, and public speaking.
Data-driven: Establish KPIs, guide experimentation, and report on product marketing impact and ROI
USA-based roles only: The Annual base salary for this role is between $269,000 USD and $363,000 USD, plus immediate participation in 1Password's benefits program (health, dental, 401k and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.
Canada-based roles only: The Annual base salary for this role is between $247,000 CAD and $334,000 CAD, plus immediate participation in 1Password’s generous benefits program (health, dental, RRSP and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.
