Position overview
At Everstream, we are passionate about helping our customers succeed through the use of our products & services. We’re looking for a strategic, results-driven professional to lead functional areas supporting platform enablement, process improvements, and cross-functional communication. This position will report directly to the Chief Product Officer.
As a VP of Platform, you will oversee the design and development of core platform capabilities that enable our software to scale, ensure that what is being designed supports the business needs architecturally, and connect functional application & technical engineering teams to establish the right platform approach to help Everstream succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
Define, develop and execute Everstream’s platform strategy
Advance Everstream’s data integration and API strategy, ensuring that data onboarding and integration standards meet customer needs, and maintain clear external-facing documentation to enable frictionless integration into execution systems
Collaborate with Product Management & Engineering teams to identify & develop non-functional requirements and new services to support the scaling of the platform
Enable Professional & Implementation Services to deliver onboarding solutions that satisfy sophisticated client needs and build a suite of customer data management capabilities through a scalable architecture
Collaborate closely with the Engineering organization, including Data Engineering, to set common standards, align on the overall data strategy and priorities, and deliver cross-functional projects using core data and platform capabilities
Lead a team of technical product managers and UX designers, offer support and strategic direction to team members and mentor them to reach individual and team goals
Guide the strategic direction of the team's engagements and collaboration with stakeholders. While not directly involved in software delivery, the role necessitates a profound understanding of technical architecture, potential challenges, and aligning the team's work with broader organizational goals
Interface with customers’ technical teams as and when needed, communicate Everstream’s platform strategy and take a consultative approach in managing customer’s adoption of our data & platform services
Skills and qualifications:
15+ years of B2B SaaS experience, preferably within ERP, supply chain, procurement or transportation solutions
10+ years of work experience leading and directly managing global teams
5+ years of multi-cloud big data analytics expertise. AWS and Python experience preferred.
Experience leading large scale business and organizational transformations with high-visibility outcomes
Ability to translate strategy, business initiatives, and abstract ideas into operational activities, key tasks, and accountabilities with little oversight
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems; MBA preferred
Excellent communication skills both with customers and within an organization
Comfortable and willing to be a hands-on contributor
