About the role

We are looking for a highly seasoned and technical underwriting professional to support and optimize Coalition’s rapidly growing global underwriting efforts in Cyber and Executive Risk. This role requires extensive experience in underwriting best practices, a deep understanding of industry standards, and strong analytical and collaborative skills to drive underwriting consistency, profitability, and efficiency.

This position is fully remote.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and enforcement of global underwriting standards, best practices, and underwriting authority levels.

  • Optimize performance by monitoring and enforcing audit criteria to ensure underwriting quality and consistency.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to maintain profitability across all segments, ensuring underwriting practices align with performance standards.

  • Foster active engagement with Underwriting Leaders by working together on referrals, escalations, and continuously improving processes to ensure alignment and superior outcomes. 

  • Work with Product and cross-functional teams to identify and implement automation opportunities that streamline underwriting processes and improve efficiency.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 8+ years of deep knowledge of Cyber, Tech E&O, MPL, and ER underwriting, including understanding of risk assessments, policy structuring, and market trends.

  • Strong collaboration for working across teams, building consensus, and driving initiatives forward

  • In-depth experience in identifying and implementing automation opportunities within underwriting processes, with strong understanding of product, tooling, and underwriting workflows.

  • Excellent communication with ability to convey complex ideas to diverse audiences, including non-technical stakeholders.

Compensation

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The US base salary for this position ranges from $135,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $170,000/year in our highest geographic market. Consistent with applicable laws, an employee's pay within this range is based on a number of factors, which include but are not limited to relevant education, skills, job-related knowledge, qualifications, work experience, credentials, and/or geographic location. Your recruiter can share more on target salary for your location during the interview process. Coalition, Inc. reserves the right to modify this range as needed.
