Netflix is one of the world's leading entertainment services with over 230 million paid memberships in over 190 countries. In addition to great shows and movies, our membership also includes exclusive access to a growing portfolio of high-quality games. The games platform team is looking for a Technical Program Manager to strengthen our member discovery capabilities in Netflix’s relatively nascent opportunity in games.
This Technical Program Manager will partner closely with the game discovery Product Manager to drive impactful cross-functional programs both within the games platform and across the company. The role requires strong coordination and collaboration with engineering teams in our core platform, games and member UI teams, data science, as well as peer technical program managers, and the Netflix Game Studios organization. This role has the direct opportunity to impact a key objective for games - to move members from saying “Wait, Netflix has Games?” to “Did you play the latest Netflix Game?”
Responsibilities
Lead multiple cross-functional programs, in collaboration with product, engineering, design, and data science, that deliver technical solutions.
Provide deep domain expertise to form technical strategies with engineering partners.
Drive engagement with internal partners, work to decompose requirements into technical execution plans with measurable milestones, effectively optimize scope and schedule, manage cross-functional dependencies, and proactively manage risks.
Craft clear communication of progress toward goals, reporting status to stakeholders and leadership.
Requirements
8+ years of technical program management experience
Proven experience driving large-scale software projects, managing the definition of technical strategies, and building long-term scalable solutions
Deep understanding and point of view on product growth and discovery solutions
Highly skilled, experienced, and enjoys orchestrating multiple programs with many moving parts and creating partnerships with cross-functional teams
Able to identify gaps in solutions, debate technical approaches and weigh in on product vs. technology tradeoffs
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly articulate business impact and technical constraints tailored to the audience
Self-starter who enjoys tackling 0 to 1 problem spaces and quickly bringing organization and direction
Exemplify the Netflix culture by understanding, advocating, and demonstrating its values.
$100,000 - $600,000 a year
