About The Role
Coalition is looking for a contractor / freelancer to join the marketing team as a Technical Program Manager and play a pivotal role in steering the successful delivery of complex technical projects. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in project management tools like Jira and your exceptional coordination skills to drive projects that meet our strategic objectives. You will work across multiple departments, creating clear timelines, identifying potential blockers, and ensuring accountability for deliverables.
In addition to technical program delivery, you will advise on how to improve the internal workflows and planning process across the marketing department. Deliverables include introducing capacity planning, SLAs and planning timelines in order to help non-technical teams interface better with operations and web development processes.
Location is flexible, with up to 40 hours a week available through at least December 2024.
Responsibilities
Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of multi-pronged cross-functional technical projects on behalf of marketing
Utilize project management tools such as Jira to track project progress, manage tasks, set priorities, and maintain timelines. Familiarity with Monday.com a plus but not required.
Coordinate efforts between different teams including engineering, marketing, operations, and external stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration and communication.
Develop and maintain detailed project documentation, plans, and reports to monitor project performance and facilitate decision making.
Identify potential project blockers or risks and proactively take necessary actions to address them.
Foster a culture of accountability by clearly defining project deliverables and ensuring timely completion with quality standards.
Facilitate regular project meetings to review progress, address issues, and coordinate actions.
Manage resources effectively, ensuring optimal allocation to meet project deadlines and other constraints.
Drive continuous improvement in project management practices and tools by staying updated with the latest trends and technologies.
Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
Proven experience as a Technical Program Manager or similar role in a technology-driven environment.
Strong proficiency with project management tools like Jira.
Excellent organizational abilities, with a strong emphasis on team collaboration and problem-solving.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the capacity to work on complex issues where analysis of situations requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
Bonus Points
PMP, Agile, or Scrum certification.
Experience in the software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
Prior experience in a high-tech or startup environment.
