Mission
As a Technical Product Marketing Manager at Svix, you will develop and execute strategic marketing plans to give voice to the company strategy and drive the success of our products. You will partner with the GTM team and our CEO to build the GTM engine. You’ll be responsible for product positioning, content generation, messaging / comms, sales enablement, and increasing brand awareness and customer base. By understanding market trends, analyzing competitors, and developing compelling messaging and positioning for our products, our prospects and customers hear and respond to a single voice. You will deeply know, understand, and empathize with our customers, which gives you the unique perspective to help build customer moats.
In this role you’ll collaborate closely with our CEO, sales team, and engineering to effectively connect the product to the customers that need our solution. With an audience first approach, you will represent Svix’s voice to the market. Joining Svix now is getting the best of both worlds. It’s early enough to make a significant impact on the trajectory of the company, but we already have significant revenue and are used by some of the world’s best companies. Outcomes
Drive awareness and top of funnel activity
Craft content, collateral and copy for social media platforms, blogs and ads
Create successful product launches
Impact to be measured by customer acquisition, engagement on social media and the completion of launch materials (web pages, demos, videos, case studies)
Own the voice of the company
Increase awareness of Svix’s products among target customers by creating marketing campaigns and campaigns, crafting compelling messaging, owning case studies and utilizing various channels to reach the intended audience, such as social media and conferences.
Empower the sales team
Create sales collateral, provide training, and craft messaging frameworks that resonate with potential buyers so that our sales team is able to link customer needs to tangible business impacts
Help the sales team show up for every prospect or customer interaction with a hyper-clear message around “Why Us” to increase our win rate
Be the customers’ champion
Develop deep industry and competitive knowledge that drives both GTM processes and product development
Talk to customers we win and ones we don’t on a regular basis to understand decision criteria and why they buy/don’t buy and help impact the product roadmap to address customer pain points.
Competencies
PMM expert with high agency and technical aptitude
You have experience with technical products and/or a technical background that empowers you to navigate a highly technical developer tool product
You have deep domain expertise in product marketing, enabling the creation of innovative GTM strategies, and you operate with a high level of drive and self-motivation.
You thrive in ambiguity and create processes and repeatable motions. You learn from data but also can create from scratch.
You enjoy working directly with customers to develop insights and optimize our GTM motion through interviews, win-loss reports, etc.
Product positioning and messaging
You have a deep understanding of the customer and the buying process, and you possess the ability to translate technical features and concepts into customer benefits and reasons to buy.
You craft compelling messaging that represents the Svix brand, sets the product apart and resonates with target audiences.
Effective project and brand management
You plan and execute marketing campaigns that effectively represent the Svix brand and drive engagement in collaboration with other cross-functional teams, such as Sales, Growth, Engineering, etc.
Strong written and spoken communication skills
You’re able to understand both our ideal customers and the technology, and you’re able to communicate complex concepts in simple terms to create impactful campaigns.
You “know developers”. You know what developers want to read and how to write it.
Comprehensive market research
You’re able to gather market insights, customer feedback, and competitive intelligence to inform strategic decisions and address customer needs.
Compensation
Base Salary Range: $150,000 - $170,000*
*These figures represent the range for candidates based in NYC, where we are headquartered. Salary will differ based on geographic location and is also based on skills, experience, etc.
Equity: We offer generous equity packages at Svix. As an owner, our success is your success.
