Staff Web Software Engineer - Curation Foundations

The Curation engineering team builds product features that are deeply engaging and uniquely Pinterest, including saving and creating Pins, Boards, and Collages, to inspire Pinners to create a life they love. We’re looking for a Staff Web Engineer to be the Tech Lead across Curation Web initiatives.

What you’ll do:

• Lead the team in developing Pinner-facing frontend features on Desktop Web and Mobile Web to power the future of inspiration on Pinterest.

• Drive Web technical solutions and strategic objectives across multiple teams.

• Build effective alignment with design, product,backend and platform teams.

• Uplevel the team through mentorship, feedback, and knowledge sharing.

What we’re looking for:

• Deep understanding of Web development and best practices in React/Redux.

• 7+ years of industry Web application development experience, 1+ years experience as a tech lead. 

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

• Strong collaboration and communication skills.

• Strong mentorship and coaching abilities.

In-Office Requirement Statement: 

• We let the type of work you do guide the collaboration style. That means we're not always working in an office, but we continue to gather for key moments of collaboration and connection.

• This role will need to be in the office for in-person collaboration 1-2 times every 6-months and therefore can be situated anywhere in the country.
