Each year - these teams run 1000s of experiments to test new hypotheses, iterate on product experiences, make ship decisions, and track their long term impact. Our job as the experimentation team is to build a platform that meets their diverse needs, makes experimentation fast & easy, and promotes rigorous decision making. Our team includes engineers who build the infrastructure it takes to create experiments, compute billions of data points, and understand the results as well as data scientists who research best practices and cutting edge ideas to bring to Pinterest.
What you’ll do:
We are looking for an experienced and highly capable Product Manager with Experimentation and/or Data Platform expertise to take experimentation to the next level at Pinterest. You will
Gather feedback from customers teams on their experimentation needs, challenges & opportunities
Create and drive the multi-year product vision for investments in experimentation infrastructure & practices
Execute on the roadmap in collaboration with engineering and data science and communicate progress to customers as we track toward the vision
Drive an innovation agenda in partnership with Data Science to invest in higher-risk/higher-reward opportunities
Have your finger on the pulse of emerging technologies and architectures to bring applicable ideas to Pinterest
Help build a culture of rigorous experimentation across product managers, data scientists, and engineers
Measure and improve the health of experimentation by creating short & long term KRs to quantify how improvements to our platform are driving product improvements and innovation
Contribute to solving immediate business critical problems in experimentation
Scale: Scaling our platform to support the increasingly diverse needs of experimenters across Pinterest
End to end support: Supporting customers along every stage of the experimentation lifecycle
ML experimentation: Building a best-in-class ML experimentation process in partnership with experts
What we’re looking for:
In depth experience in product management building experimentation and/or other data product platforms
Strong technical background and judgment - ability to hear customer asks and translate them into engineering or data science requirements for our experimentation platform
Demonstrated ability to base execution & decisions on data and help build a culture of data driven decision making
Exceptional communication skills and ability to work across teams to identify opportunities and deliver solutions
Exceptional relationship-building skills, organizational awareness, and ability to persuade others to accomplish program objectives while holding yourself and your team to a high standard of accountability
Ability to manipulate large data sets with high dimensionality and complexity; fluency in SQL (or other database languages) and a scripting language (Python or R)

We let the type of work you do guide the collaboration style. That means we're not always working in an office, but we continue to gather for key moments of collaboration and connection.
