Staff DevOps Engineers at Array are hands-on technical leaders who focus on optimizing and enhancing our CI/CD pipelines to support rapid and reliable deployment of high-quality products. They are involved in every stage of the development lifecycle, from planning to deployment, and play a crucial role in driving key initiatives that improve the scalability, security, and resilience of our systems. Working closely with engineering teams, product managers, and cross-functional partners such as UX, Compliance, and Sales, they ensure that our infrastructure and processes align with business objectives, enabling efficient, secure, and streamlined product delivery.
Selected candidates will have the opportunity to participate in a 90-day evaluation period, typically structured as a 1099 or C2C contract, though full-time employment can be arranged if needed. During this period, you will be expected to work on complex tasks with some ambiguity, utilize AI tools to enhance efficiency, and collaborate with the CEO, product managers, and senior leadership. At the end of the 90 days, we will evaluate whether to transition to full-time employment, extend the contract, or conclude the engagement.
You will:
Take ownership of our CI/CD pipeline, identifying and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency, reliability, and security.
Develop and maintain automated deployment scripts and configurations to support high-frequency, low-risk deployments.
Collaborate closely with engineers across teams, guiding them in leveraging CI/CD best practices and optimizing their development workflows.
Act as a mentor and resource for both technical and non-technical colleagues, enabling them to better understand and contribute to DevOps processes and tools.
Leverage your expertise to improve developer velocity and user experience by reducing deployment bottlenecks.
Drive innovation within our infrastructure, implementing AI-driven tools and solutions that increase efficiency and automation.
You have:
Extensive experience in DevOps, with a strong track record of improving and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for fast-paced development environments.
A solid understanding of containerization, orchestration, and cloud infrastructure, particularly with platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Experience with tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Jenkins (or similar CI/CD platforms).
A background in scripting and automation using languages such as Python, Bash, or Go.
A passion for building developer tools and streamlining workflows for the engineering team.
A strong focus on security and best practices in infrastructure, coupled with an understanding of compliance requirements.
A proactive approach to problem-solving with a bias towards action and delivering iterative improvements.
