What we're looking for...
A dynamic, high energy and results-driven Senior Director, Solutions Marketing to build and lead our global solutions marketing team.
This highly visible, strategic, and cross-functional leadership role will be responsible for the development of compelling, customer-centric value stories and the creation of competitive positioning and messaging. You will drive go-to-market strategy and execution, lead the development of solutions sales enablement materials, and provide thought leadership to support the company’s brand building and demand efforts. You’ll work closely with the brand, communications, and demand generation teams within marketing as well as cross-functionally with sales, customer success, product management, and others in the company.
The ideal candidate is someone with the proven ability to: build, develop and lead global teams through the execution of data-driven solutions marketing programs; tell compelling stories that illuminate the unique value of a company and its solutions; be customer-centric in order to communicate customer use case-relevant stories; launch into market new solution offerings; and continue to lay a solutions marketing foundation while addressing the evolving needs and growth goals of the business.
What you'll be doing...
Drive solutions marketing direction for ScienceLogic, collaborating with other marketing functions such as demand generation, content marketing, partner marketing, corporate communications, and inbound marketing.
Understand market trends, customer requirements, usage and buying behavior, and the partner ecosystem to better identify market opportunities and customer demand for ScienceLogic’s product offerings.
Educate the market about ScienceLogic’s core technical value offerings through multiple collateral such as demos, white-papers, workshops, presentations, and technical blogs, driving views of that content.
Work with the partner teams to develop solutions that support ScienceLogic’s GTM plays and deliver value to customers.
Develop and activate ScienceLogic's core use case messaging and positioning.
Provide input and strategy into product roadmap, strategy, and pricing, in partnership with the analyst relations and competitive intelligence team.
Nurture and leverage relationships with influencers and key strategic customers and partners to help increase market awareness about ScienceLogic.
Define team's strategy, budget, hiring and MBO's to build and measure team results.
Provide input about product priorities and goals to Product Management.
Use customer, partner, and competitive research to influence solutions strategy and drive effective messaging.
Develop and own solution positioning, messaging and value propositions that differentiate ScienceLogic’s solutions in the marketplace.
Craft engaging audience-specific content, including case studies, solution briefs, web content, presentations, data sheets, whitepapers and sales playbooks that can be utilized globally.
Conduct ROI/TCO analysis and develop content to help customers make the business case for ScienceLogic.
Leveraging insights from the competitive intelligence team, develop differentiation materials for the field and for external consumption.
Support the team in setting clear goals and key results. Ensure that those are communicated and visible across the company and progress is shared regularly.
Qualities you possess...
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, marketing, business, or related area; MBA is a plus.
10+ years of experience in solutions marketing and related marketing functions in the software industry, preferably within an area of application development.
8+ years of progressive management experience, with an emphasis on leadership, and engaging global and local stakeholders.
Experience building trusted relationships with executive sponsors and end users.
Technical background or clear understanding of products; familiarity with Monitoring, AIOPS, Continuous Integration, Kubernetes and Project Management software a plus.
Experience with enterprise Software-as-a-Service offerings a plus.
Experience supporting integrated GTM motions that includes sales, channel and services partners, strategic alliances, and technology eco-systems.
Proven track record in building, getting buy-in and executing marketing plans, and staying focused on “getting it done” in a fast-moving, technical environment.
Able to coordinate across many teams and perform in fast-moving startup environment.
Proven experience being self-directed and working with minimal supervision.
Demonstrated experience building credibility with and delivering results for product teams, sales teams, and customers.
Outstanding written and verbal communications skills to explain and translate complex technology concepts into simple and intuitive communications.
Uses data to measure results and inform decision making and strategy development.
