Solutions Engineer - Client Services

The Role
The Client Servicing Solutions Engineer helps TrueAccord integrate and support clients with specific needs. Solutions Engineers will be present alongside Implementations to see through client requirements, understand technical problems they may be unable to communicate effectively on their own, and design solutions that work best for their needs. Being engineers on the front lines of client support, Solutions Engineering will also be a primary stakeholder for the Client Integrations backlog, identifying bugs and proposing longer-term solutions that could enhance our capability to support all clients.
The Solutions Engineer is a specialist in a squad of client support personnel. They are the first responders who are closest to the technical needs of our clients, and the ones uniquely capable of finding them a solution with what systems we have. They do this through knowledge and use of Python, Golang, and other scripting languages, knowledge and use of SQL (and other database query languages), and the latest in cloud-based technologies. If no such system exists, they’ll be Engineering’s primary subject matter expert on a project for a client with exceptional needs.
Responsibilities and Duties
Provide technical support of client integrations including:
Design and implementation at onboarding
Leading ongoing system and process enhancements which results in standard reliable, scalable, cost efficient, and self serviced client integrations
Collaboration with Engineering and Client Services to resolve problems with existing integrations
Identification of areas in the integration stage of the Client Lifecycle where we could improve
Reviews integration solutions against acceptance criteria to ensure completeness and identify gaps
Develop solutions which solve for timely and consistent data delivery to clients
Support the design and process functions performed in Retool to maintain consistent delivery of client operational tasks
Support transition of client work from Allcode
Support ongoing client servicing activities which require an engineer including bulk updates, email appends, placement backfill
Partner with the Client Integrations Engineering team and attend regular planning sessions to stay up to date on projects and provide input on their backlog
Reliably provides estimates for their own work
Seeks previously unaddressed opportunities to automate processes and provide self-service tools to other teams.
Partners effectively with less technical colleagues such as Client Success, Sales and Marketing
Able to relay to Engineering not just what clients need, but where specifically existing systems fail to meet those needs
Can directly contribute to project documents, providing their understanding of acceptance criteria
Requirements
Bachelors in related field or equivalent experience - BS in Computer Science strongly preferred
8+ years of relevant experience
Knows and follows industry best practices
Mastery of Python
Experience with SQL
General knowledge of JS
Fluency with Low-Code or No-Code tools
Strong understanding of both SQL and NoSQL databases
Experience using 3rd party APIs
Demonstrates sophisticated problem-solving skills with automation and scripting
Must be able to work effectively with little direct supervision and in the face of ambiguity, shifting priorities, and multiple deadlines
General knowledge of business operations, objectives, strategies, processes and information flow
$96,124 - $122,000 a year
Compensation Disclosure: This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
