In this role you’d be responsible for helping maintain the core platform that compensation admins use to build and operate sales compensation models in CaptivateIQ.

The Setup & Manage team enables customers to set up and maintain CaptivateIQ easily and efficiently. The team focuses on improving the foundational elements of the platform by building user experiences as well as frameworks that support management of the CIQ product for other teams. We have deep knowledge of the Data and Integrations strategy, User and Identity management, and we own the application’s security and compliance features end-to-end.
Responsibilities:
Design, build, optimize, and maintain CaptivateIQ's data and core platform functionality
Work across the our full product stack to develop and improve product features
Participate in the product development process from start to finish, from scoping projects to measuring their success and iterating based on feedback
Maintain high engineering and security standards, and continuously improve our codebases and processes
Work with engineers across the company to develop and iterate at scale
Requirements:
3+ years experience in a software engineering role
You have strong computer science fundamentals (data structures/algorithms)
You have experience with both frontend and backend development
You exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills
You demonstrate proficiency with Python, Django and React
You have experience with a relational database such as PostgreSQL or MySQL
You have demonstrated a track record of taking responsibility and ownership over core product areas
You have experience delivering results while working cross-functionally with Product and Design
You have a sharp attention to detail, and a user-centric focus
You have experience making data-driven decisions on product and process
You have experience building or maintaining a positive, productive remote-first culture
Nice to have:
Proficiency with Typescript, AWS, Cypress, and/or Chakra UI
Experience with Big Data and distributed systems.

CaptivateIQ takes a market-based approach to pay, and the base salary range for this job posting shows the minimum and maximum target starting base salary. The successful candidate’s starting base salary will be determined based on the candidate’s job-related skills, relevant experience, education, work location, market conditions, and other factors. This range may be modified in the future. Certain positions may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, and other benefits.
