Smart Building Engineer - Fault Detection & Diagnosis

Willow is looking for an individual that is passionate about real estate / infrastructure technology and possesses a deep level of domain expertise in building systems, familiarity with data analytics, and desire to transform the built environment.
As an Activate Technology Engineer your primary role will be to advance Willow’s skills library, a library of domain expert defined logic for how to best operate and optimize building systems, which is central to Willow’s core value proposition and strategy. You will meet with customers to collect feedback and understand pain points, define new logic to solve their problems, and work to scale your solutions across customers and asset classes such as commercial real estate, aviation, and others.
Responsibilities
Deliver customer value through Willow’s product capabilities and Activate Technology
Translate domain expertise into rule-based expressions (skills) to monitor building operations within Willow Activate Technology
Use industry knowledge and understanding of building systems to support Willow's delivery team in the creation of building digital twins which serve as the platform for Activate Technology analytics
Maintain and grow a deep working knowledge of the building industry, from key stakeholders to industry pain points and key trends
Serve as a technical expert that deeply understands the Willow Activate Technology and Skills Library
Partner with other Willow teams to create account specific roadmaps and growth plans
Requirements
Bachelor's of Science in Engineering, Computer Science, or Software Engineering (Required)
Experience in Mechanical/HVAC Engineering Consulting or Building Automation Systems
Understanding of engineering fundamentals and systems knowledge
Experience with automated Fault Detection & Diagnostics, Continuous Commissioning, and Measurement & Verification
Ability to translate domain expertise into productized solutions
Experience in identifying value through data driven measures and guiding customer to action or developing actionable roadmaps
Adaptable and open to new ideas or ways to present solutions and approach problems for continuous improvement
Able to communicate & bridge subject matter expertise to product and engineering teams
$100,000 - $115,000 a year
