Role Overview :
We're looking for a Senior UX Writer to join our Product team at Jimdo. In this role, you will be key in shaping a clear, concise, and user-friendly experience that empowers entrepreneurs and small businesses online. We need someone who understands the importance of using actionable, straightforward language that simplifies complex user tasks. If you have expertise in both German and English and thrive on creating impactful product copy, we want to hear from you.
What you’ll be doing:
Collaborate closely with designers, researchers, product managers, and developers to write clear, concise, and actionable UX copy across our digital platforms.
Define and maintain a consistent product voice and tone that aligns with our brand while focusing on user needs.
Conduct content audits and usability tests to continuously refine product copy and enhance user experience.
Write and optimize UX microcopy, in-app messages, CTAs, and error messages with a focus on simplicity and clarity.
Advocate for a content-first approach, ensuring product copy serves user goals effectively and efficiently.
Develop content guidelines and documentation to support a scalable content strategy across the product.
Participate in user research and testing to validate content effectiveness and alignment with user behavior.
What you bring to the table:
Native or bilingual proficiency in both German and English.
5+ years of experience in UX writing within a product environment.
Strong understanding of UX principles, user-centered design, and content strategy.
Excellent command of concise, actionable language with the ability to distill complex information.
Proven experience collaborating in a fast-paced product team and influencing design with a focus on functionality.
Proficiency with design tools (e.g., Figma) and familiarity with content management systems (e.g.; Phrase).
Knowledge of accessibility standards and user behavior insights.
