Senior Technical Program Manager - Trust and Safety
Looking for an effective Technical Program Manager to help enable our Trust & Safety engineering, product, and operations partners to make their greatest impact.
What you'll do:
You’ll ensure that we have the right frameworks to evaluate our organizational health and operational excellence in areas such as technical health, systems management and team organization.
You'll collaborate closely with partners in Product, Engineering, Business Operations, Legal, and Policy on a variety of programs in service of improving our ability to keep Pinterest safe.
You'll ensure that we have the right KPIs in place to measure the health of our tools and efficiency of our systems and processes.
You'll also work with third-party vendors like JIRA, Retool, PagerDuty, Slack, Zendesk to ensure we’re optimizing tool usage and drawing out insights based on our usage.
You'll be called upon to roll up your sleeves, handle multiple competing priorities, quickly tease through complexity, and deploy the right operational tactics to solve the problem at hand.
As part of this role, you'll join the Strategy & Operations, Systems and Tools Team, an interdisciplinary team of technical program managers tasked with delivering best-in-class systems and processes that enable efficient execution of Pinterest’s strategy.
What are we looking for:
5+ years experience in product management, technical program management, analytics, engineering, or systems integration. PMP, Scrums, Six Sigma certifications a plus.
BS degree in a technical discipline or relevant work experience.
Strong familiarity with SQL and data visualization tools. Proficiency in any coding language that would suggest ability to write scripts (Python, Java, C++) is preferred.
Experience scaling efforts and working with multiple organizations to drive results.
Experience managing third-party vendors and optimizing tool usage for 300+ person teams; Jira-specific admin experience is required.
Strong communication/story-telling skills: has the ability to both gather and then share the data and information effectively to execs, vendors, and stakeholders.
Knowledge of software and systems engineering standard methodologies for the full development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, build processes, testing and operations.
Metrics and Solutions-Oriented: Ability to manage complex projects effectively by setting clear goals, identifying roadblocks, designing solutions, and tracking progress against deadlines.
Demonstrated commitment to take accountability and responsibility for deliverables.
Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent attention to detail and process discipline.
Comfortable working on-call for large scale escalations and general support.
Prior experience within Trust and Safety, Spam, Account Integrity, or Fraud is a plus.
