Department Overview
Aria’s Operations team consists of Systems, Application, and Database Administrators, DevOps, and Security & Compliance. The team works remotely with a primarily office out of Broomall, PA, and individuals working out of Chenni India. This team operates in a 24x7 environment, supporting Aria production and development systems.
Position Summary
This role will require senior level experience but will not include management of personnel and position reports to the Lead of Systems Engineering. The position will provide support to Development, QA, and our production environments. Role will be required to take on-call for one week out of a given month.
Responsibilities
Support the needs of the production site to ensure availability.
Continue to enhance our Terraform scripts to expand its usage across all environments.
The individual will be involved when issues arise with the production site and that will include off-hours and weekend efforts.
The individual will support development and QA initiatives as required.
Work on any tasks assigned by Ops leadership that will cross other functional areas.
Address any assigned security related findings to ensure Aria stays compliant.
Build upon existing Ansible configurations to further our automation adoption.
Continue to support and execute our move to containerization for core applications.
Ensure proper monitoring and alerting is in place when implementing new initiatives.
Required Qualifications
A successful candidate will possess at least 6-9 years of experience and be proficient in Linux system administration in an environment that requires 24x7x365 support.
The individual will have well rounded knowledge across DevOps and System Administration.
Proficient working knowledge of Linux.
Strong coding skills using Bash, Perl, Python, or Ruby.
Experience with server automation tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
Strong working knowledge of AWS and their tools to further automate processes within the environment.
Strong working knowledge of Prometheus and Grafana.
Experience using infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
Experience managing automatically scalable systems; Kubernetes, Docker/Container.
Knowledge and exposure to Zookeeper and Kafka.
Ability to use a wide variety of open-source technologies/tools.
Exposure and understanding of DevOps and the role it plays in an organization.
Good understanding of network technologies.
Working knowledge of application load balancing.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
Excellent communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Candidates with experience in environments that require continual security and compliance audits are desired.
Working knowledge of Atlassian products (JIRA, Bitbucket, etc.).
Exposure to security audits and mitigation of findings.
Ability to re-engineer existing solutions and provide alternate options.
Strong team player and worked with offshore support teams. Individual must also
