Senior Revenue Operations Data Analyst – Performance & Insights
Position Summary:
You’re not just a data analyst. You’re a storytelling powerhouse with a sixth sense for trends and a relentless drive to turn complexity into clarity. At Pax8, we’re looking for someone who doesn’t just crunch numbers – they connect them, spark action, and help our GTM teams grow smarter and sell better.
As our Senior Revenue Operations Data Analyst – Performance & Insights, you’ll be the go-to person for uncovering revenue opportunities hiding in plain sight. You’ll bring order to chaos, spotting inefficiencies and patterns across raw sales data using SQL, Excel, and Python. But your true superpower? Translating data into insight, and insight into action – fueling business decisions that result in lasting and impactful change.
💡 What You’ll Do Every Day:
Trend Analysis & Insight Delivery (45%)
Dive deep into sales performance and revenue data to detect patterns, inefficiencies, and areas for optimization. You’ll be the first to know what’s working – and what’s not.
Continuously monitor key sales KPIs and performance metrics, surfacing insights that guide strategic decision-making.
Craft and present narrative-driven insights that help Sales, Finance, and RevOps make smarter, faster decisions.
Deliver concise, data-backed reports that influence operational direction and sales execution.
Be comfortable parsing dashboards and underlying data – and know exactly when to deep dive for root-cause analysis.
Optimize Processes & AI-Driven Analytics (25%)
Identify inefficiencies in workflows using data insights and recommend AI or automation solutions to streamline.
Use tools like SQL, Excel, and Python to clean, wrangle, and explore large datasets. (We love a clean dataset.)
Implement AI-powered analytics where applicable to support better forecasting, data cleansing, and smarter sales recommendations.
Ensure data integrity and governance by validating, managing, and documenting data sources — enhancing trust across all levels.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Data Storytelling (30%)
Collaborate closely with Sales, RevOps, and Finance stakeholders to understand challenges and proactively deliver solutions.
Translate complex findings into clear, compelling stories for both technical and non-technical audiences – from ICs to Execs.
Build trust and influence by ensuring insights are adopted and applied across GTM teams to drive revenue growth.
Help shape and scale the future of analytics at Pax8, identifying opportunities for automation, AI, and smarter reporting at scale.
🧠 To Thrive in This Role, You Must:
Have 4+ years of experience in data analytics, revenue or sales operations, or revenue intelligence.
Be fluent in SQL and Excel and comfortable with Python (or eager to level up fast).
Be a strategic thinker with strong business acumen — you understand what drives sales, what data truly matters, and you're curious enough to dig deeper.
Be a master communicator, capable of distilling complexity into clarity.
Thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment, balancing competing priorities with ease.
🚀 Within Your First Year, You’ll Know You’re Crushing It If:
Within 90 days: You’ve parsed through current dashboards, identified gaps in our sales and performance metrics, and surfaced several actionable insights that influence near-term GTM strategy and focus areas.
Within 120 days: You’ve defined and socialized a core KPI framework aligned to business goals – actively used by Sales and Revenue leaders to evaluate performance and make smarter decisions.
Within 6 months: You’ve developed a clear vision for scalable, insights-first analytics and partnered with BI resources to begin shaping a cohesive data storytelling layer – helping GTM leaders easily access the right metrics and surface key trends without deep technical lift.
Within 12 months: You’re the go-to strategic partner for sales performance insight – consistently delivering high-impact analysis that drives revenue growth, improves forecasting accuracy, and elevates data-driven decision-making across multiple GTM teams.
✨ Bonus Points If You Have:

Familiarity with large data environments (Redshift, Snowflake) and working with large, less structured datasets
Experience in sales analytics or RevOps in B2B/Tech/Cloud industries
Knowledge of AI-powered analytics tools (e.g., ChatGPT for analysis, predictive AI for forecasting, AI for cleansing)
Certifications in Excel, SQL, Python, PowerBI (or similar)
