Senior Product Marketing Manager - Mercury Personal
The first banks were temples in ancient Mesopotamia, with priests accepting deposits of grain and other valuables. They even issued loans and charged interest, recording the transactions on clay tablets. It was only later that coinage systems were developed, making banking older than money itself!
We started Mercury by imagining what the best banking platform for startups would be like. Fast forward a few short years and we have 200,000+ customers. Now, we're expanding our universe beyond businesses, to serve ambitious individuals with exceptional software to manage their banking and finances, with Mercury Personal.
We're looking for a Senior Product Marketing Manager who can help us tell our story to a new audience and drive growth for Mercury Personal.
*Mercury is a financial technology company, not a bank. Banking services provided by Choice Financial Group, Column N.A. and Evolve Bank & Trust, Members FDIC
Here are some of the things you’ll do:
Own the go-to-market strategy for Mercury Personal, including audience refinement, positioning, messaging, and launch planning
Develop deep customer insights through both quantitative and qualitative research to understand what drives individuals’ banking decisions
Create compelling narratives that differentiate Mercury Personal and drive growth in the consumer segment
Partner with growth, creative, and product teams to develop and execute marketing campaigns across multiple channels
Build and maintain competitive intelligence on the personal banking space, identifying opportunities for Mercury to stand out
Drive product adoption through growth initiatives, working closely with our personal banking product team
Measure and optimize performance, using data to inform future marketing strategies
Champion the voice of the consumer customer within Mercury, ensuring their needs are represented in product development
There are lots of paths that could lead you to be successful in a role like this; we think the strongest candidates will have some of these attributes:
5+ years of B2C product marketing experience
Strong track record of developing and executing go-to-market strategies for new products
Experience translating complex products into clear, compelling value propositions
Excellent storytelling abilities with a keen eye for what makes products resonate with consumers
Data-driven approach, with experience using analytics to optimize campaigns
Strong project management skills and ability to coordinate cross-functional initiatives
Experience working with product, growth, and creative teams
Fintech experience is a plus, particularly in consumer banking or personal finance
The total rewards package at Mercury includes base salary, equity (stock options), and benefits.
Our salary and equity ranges are highly competitive within the SaaS and fintech industry and are updated regularly using the most reliable compensation survey data for our industry.
