What you will own:
We are changing the way people send money. We’re building digital services that allow people to send and receive money easily. Most of our customers are hard-working migrants in Africa, Asia and Latin America. We’re always seeking to better serve our customers.
This role is to help us deliver important new product innovation in a highly efficient and fast-paced way.
As a Senior Product Manager of the new product development domain, you will take ownership in driving the inception and defining the roadmap of Zepz’s new products.
We hire bright people who can work autonomously and make the right decisions. We are looking for ambitious, results-driven and industry-experienced managers to help drive the business forward. If you are a perceptive leader, enthusiastic problem-solver, and strong communicator we look forward to meeting you!
What you bring to the table:
The ability to figure out what needs to get built and executed. You probably have a few years of professional product management experience in a high-growth, data-intensive environment. You may have shipped mobile features before. You confidently scope fast iterations and make sure to deliver customer and/or business value constantly
Passion for conducting user research. And an eye for good design. You know when small and qualitative research is ideal and when large and quantitative research is best. You can’t wait to get out into the field with our market launchers and then collaborate with designers to craft effective, delightful user experiences.
Clear communication skills. You’ll be making complex tradeoffs about what’s best for our users and our business thoughtfully and collaboratively.
Data-savviness coupled with an inquisitive and investigative nature. You have a technical background and a broad set of analytics skills. You are driven by curiosity and are not afraid to learn or use new tools, write SQL, dig through tickets, dig into some code, or do whatever else it takes for you to frame questions and get data quickly so you and your teams can better understand a problem and prioritize solutions
Desire to get your hands dirty- we have over half a million MAU but are a startup at heart. You are willing, and excited, to roll up your sleeves and do whatever needs to be done. Sometimes this means writing SQL, other times it may mean drafting up a copy or a mock (don't worry, you'll be able to request help to polish it up)
Willingness to travel. When in doubt, we get on a plane. Visit our growth team in the field, join co-working sessions with fellow colleagues around the world and meet users where they are (But we also respect vacation time and outside commitments — your time is important.)
Bonus points if you:
A degree (or equivalent experience) in a quantitative or technical field such as statistics, economics, engineering, or computer science.
Great taste for building delightful user experiences
Experience running or supporting a consumer-facing referral program.
Creativity, flexibility, and the ability to handle ambiguity gracefully.
An open mind with respect to diversity and inclusivity. Our team (and customers) come from all over the world.
A familiarity with any of the communities we serve
