Senior Product Designer II
About You
You’re looking for an environment, team, and role where you’ll thrive and do the best work of your career. That’s why, as a Senior Product Designer II on our Commerce Hub at HubSpot:
You’ll serve as a key driver of craft, helping elevate Growth Practices and design quality for your team and within the Commerce Hub.
You’ll have a “seat at the table” from Day 1. Your partners and peers know what you do, greatly value it, and expect you to have strong opinions that influence product development.
You’ll co-own a significant part of the product with your partners and you’ll have the support you need to align strategy and vision through implementation.
You’ll be able to work where and how you work best: at home, the office, or any mix of both.
We support you with clear expectations and career paths that set you up to grow both your craft and influence as well as your impact on the product and users.
About your opportunity
Commerce Hub enables businesses to run their entire revenue lifecycle within HubSpot, through powerful and easy-to-use quoting, billing and payment tools that help businesses bill customers and collect revenue on one platform, uncover CRM-powered revenue insights with a complete view of the customer, and use automation to save time and resources. Commerce Hub is focused on the Sales to revenue recognition lifecycle, from AI-generated proposals that reduce time to close to an ever-growing list of billing and payment tools.
We’re searching for an experienced, thoughtful designer familiar with Saas and connected platform experiences, who is comfortable translating business complexity into elegant and effective user experiences. If you can articulate your approach to design and how experience vision informs both short and long term product strategies, then we’d love to chat with you.
Join a UX team that is deeply motivated by helping our users find success that grows their businesses as much as it grows their bottom line. We are a team of passionate, system thinkers, deeply motivated by finding innovative ways to deliver elegant and easy to use solutions to complex business problems through research informed, consumer grade experience design.
Responsibilities
Drive discovery, framing, alignment, and quality for our Commerce experience both within your group and across other Commerce groups.
Co-create a shared vision, strategy, and prioritized long-term roadmap for the future of Commerce tools in partnership with product management and engineering peers
Work with our Principal User Researcher to understand our customers through quantitative and qualitative research to build use cases, customer journeys, content strategies, prototypes, interaction patterns, and visual designs
Play an active part in growing HubSpot’s UX team and culture
Uplevel the end to end customer journey through thoughtful execution and collaboration with other areas of the business.
Top Candidates will have
Strong, demonstrable experience delivering successful and intuitive products using industry standard design best practices for B2B and B2C experiences - we value “consumer-grade” experience quality while solving enterprise-level problems
A high bar for design and design partnership, as well as a sixth sense for how to provide and encourage thoughtful feedback on designs as well as identify overlaps and efficiencies between team member’s projects
Have 3-4 high quality examples of design projects that show off your craft, design strategy and storytelling to effectively gain strategic alignment with product vision while effectively managing complex challenges and varying user types.
Emotional intelligence and people savvy that bring clarity to the work as well as how it’s done as well as not shying away from addressing situations or increasing communication when there’s friction or uncertainty
Curiosity for how designing with and for AI can impact and influence how we solve problems for users and our business.
You’ll love this role if you
Can give us a sense of how you collaborate on strategy and vision with partners, leaders, and across multiple teams, especially with transparent stakeholder communication throughout the design process.
Can speak to how you balance scope, speed, and design quality to reach outcomes that drive customer success, reducing time to value and increasing retention
Excel at translating conceptual ideas and user requirements into high-fidelity visual designs - drive clarity from ambiguity and create detailed and polished design deliverables that successfully balance user needs with business objectives.
Set success metrics that demonstrate your love of qualitative and quantitative metrics and can show us how you use them to deliver successful, intuitive products with measurable customer and business impact
Have experience working with design architecture, IA and a design system, especially consolidating patterns and components across a variety of use cases and contexts, as well as deep expertise in design tools and visual design principles (typography, color theory, layout, composition)
Enjoy mentoring, coaching for growth, aligning on goals, and driving accountability at all levels and can confidently deliver clear, direct, and actionable feedback—and ask for it in return.
