Senior Product Designer - Design System
About the Team Design is the foundation of Typeform. Our product is built on a bold and big idea, and we honor this innovation today. We favor bold choices, through experiences and our technology, to push our customers’ experience forward and stay relevant in a fast-moving landscape
When you join Typeform's Product Design team, you'll become a member of a dedicated, down-to-earth, and intelligent group of individuals who work remotely from various locations in the UK and Europe. We think it's kind of special, and see Typeform as the living, breathing company we are, rather than just a logo and a typeface. About the Role This role is crucial for fostering a holistic and positive user experience at Typeform. As the product grows, maintaining a unified design language becomes challenging. Design inconsistencies, development bottlenecks, and inefficiencies can arise, leading to fragmented user experiences and slower time-to-market.
Things You Will Do:
Collaboration: Work closely with designers, engineers, and managers to align the design system with the product vision.
Attention to Detail: Ensure pixel-perfect execution and deliver high-quality outputs that match the brand.
Adaptability: Adjust to changing needs, anticipate challenges, and solve complex design issues.
Leadership: Educate less experienced designers and engage cross-functional teams to drive design system adoption across the company.
Strategic Thinking: Scale the design system in line with long-term product and business goals.
Ownership: Take responsibility for the design system's success, ensuring consistency and high standards.
What You Already Bring to the Table:
English Proficiency: Convey information clearly, concisely, and engagingly.
Deep Understanding of Design Systems: Experience in building, maintaining, and evolving reusable components and patterns.
Familiarity with Design Tokens: Knowledge of how to use design tokens to implement design systems at scale.
Expertise in UI/UX Design: Focus on creating intuitive, accessible, and engaging user experiences.
Collaboration with Developers: Work closely with front-end developers to ensure seamless implementation of design components.
Figma Mastery: Proficient in creating and documenting design components using Figma.
Accessibility Knowledge (A11y): Ensure designs meet WCAG standards for accessibility.
Motion Design Principles: Ability to integrate animations and transitions into the design system.
Basic Front-End Coding Proficiency (HTML, CSS, JavaScript): Bridge the gap between design and development when necessary.
Nice to Have:
Basic Front-End Coding Proficiency (HTML, CSS, JavaScript): Additional proficiency in front-end coding to support collaboration with development teams.
