The Role
RevenueCat helps 30,000+ apps generate a combined $4b+ in in-app revenue per year. Those are big numbers, but our ambitious are much greater: There are still countless apps out there that spend time on monetization infrastructure that they could be using to build features their customers actually care about.
We won’t convert all those apps to RevenueCat by ourselves. As the saying goes, “It takes a village”.
That’s where partnerships come in: We maintain strong relationships with technology partners and work closely with app development agencies to enhance our ecosystem and drive mutual growth. Technology partnerships help us integrate seamlessly with the tools and services our customers use, and agency partnerships ensure that app development agencies can implement RevenueCat effectively in the apps they build for their clients.
We’re looking for a Senior Partnerships Leader to build and scale our partnerships program, focusing on the dual pillars of strategic technology partners and an agency program. You’ll be responsible for developing these programs, introducing measurability and repeatability, and executing the day-to-day activities required to make partnerships work. This is a hands-on role at the start, but you will also be expected to strategically shape and grow the partnerships team as soon as you build a team, set priorities, and turn partnerships into the growth engine we know it can be.
What you’ll be responsible for
As you build out your team, you’ll jointly build and nurture relationships with technology partners and app development agencies to drive the adoption and integration of RevenueCat. You’ll be instrumental in creating and scaling programs that deliver value to our partners and customers alike.
Within the first month, you’ll:
Gain an understanding of RevenueCat’s platform, its use cases, and the broader ecosystem in which we operate
Meet with internal stakeholders across Marketing, Sales, Product, and Customer Success to understand their needs and how partnerships can support their goals
Present your “first ship,” a RevenueCat onboarding tradition where you create and share something meaningful with the rest of the team based on your first two weeks in the role. Examples could be:
A co-written blogpost with a technology partner,
A webinar for our agency partners, or
Whatever you’re inspired to do
Begin initial outreach to existing partners to introduce yourself and start building those all-important relationships
Within the first 3 months, you’ll:
Collaborate with the wider organization as you develop the partnership strategy outlining how you think about building and scaling relationships with strategic technology partners and app development agencies (we all know this plan will change 100 times over as we execute, and that’s fine)
Update and create net-new documentation and resources for the partnerships program, such as onboarding guides, training materials, and marketing collateral
Begin to track and report on key partnership metrics to measure progress and impact
Start canvassing for new technology partners and agencies
Within the first 6 months, you’ll:
Implement the partnership strategy and start seeing new first integrations and collaborations come to life
Develop and refine processes for managing partnerships, including onboarding, support, and performance tracking.
Organize and participate in joint marketing and co-selling activities with partners to drive mutual growth
Identify opportunities for deeper integration with technology partners and additional value propositions for agency partners
Scope out a role for an extra partner manager, and kick off the hiring process (and maybe even close a great candidate, though we try to optimise for ‘who’ not ‘when’)
After 12 months, you’ll have:
Built a scalable and measurable partnerships program with a portfolio of active technology and agency partners
Hired and developed your first team members to support the growing partnerships function
Established RevenueCat as a trusted and valuable partner within the ecosystem
Contributed significantly to the company’s growth goals through successful partnerships and collaborations
What you’ll need to be successful
7+ Years of experience in partnerships or partner program management in a B2B or B2D (Business to Developer) SaaS environment, with a track record of building and scaling partnership programs
Strategic thinking and execution: Ability to develop a clear partnership strategy and execute it while managing day-to-day partnership activities
Strong communication skills: Capable of liaising effectively with internal teams and external partners, including technology companies and app development agencies
Project management skills: Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously, coordinating with stakeholders across different time zones
Hands-on experience: Comfortable being hands-on initially, doing the nitty-gritty work required to establish and grow partnerships
Measurability and process orientation: Experience in introducing measurability and repeatability into partnership programs
Flexibility and adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote work environment and adapt to changing circumstances
Experience with technology integrations and co-selling is a plus
Experience in a startup environment and/or building new initiatives from the ground up is preferred
We’re a fully remote team, so you’ll need to be comfortable with an asynchronous environment and using a lot of Notion, Zoom, Slack, and Linear. We actively combat ‘meeting-bloat’ to ensure you have ample time for ‘deep work,’ but regularly collaborate in real time around specific projects or efforts.
What we offer:
$226,000 USD salary regardless of your location
Competitive equity in a fast-growing, Series C startup backed by top tier investors including Y Combinator
10 year window to exercise vested equity options
Fully remote work environment that promotes autonomy and flexibility
Suggested 4 to 5 weeks time off to recharge and focus on mental, physical, and emotional health
$2,000 USD to build your personal workspace
$1,000 USD annual stipend for your continuous learning and growth
