Key Skills • Solid experience leading teams of highly skilled and self-organizing engineering teams. • Excellent technical skills on the .NET stack and Azure ecosystem. • Excellent people management and interpersonal communication skills. • Strong customer focus. • Experience working with agile variants and the ability to adapt processes to fit project needs. • Proficiency in using project management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar.
Key Responsibilities • Provide leadership, mentorship, and career development to a team of software engineers. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. • Manage software engineering projects using Agile methodologies in JIRA and document knowledge in Confluence. • Promote effective communication and collaboration using tools like Slack. • Drive technical excellence across the team by providing architectural guidance and promoting best practices. • Oversee the development and deployment of cloud-native applications using Azure services including Event Hub, WebJobs, and related components. • Ensure application performance monitoring and reliability using Datadog. • Work closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on business goals and technical strategies. • Manage engineering deliverables, timelines, and budgets effectively. • Foster a culture of innovation, inclusion, and continuous improvement within the engineering team. • Identify and mitigate technical and operational risks to ensure project success. • Collaborate with the DevOps and SRE teams to enhance deployment processes and system reliability. • Establish and track KPIs to measure engineering team performance and product success. • Partner with stakeholders to define and prioritize the product roadmap and technical initiatives. • Manage resource planning and hiring to ensure the team has the necessary skills and capacity. Requirements • Proven experience in a senior software engineering leadership role. • Strong understanding of Azure Cloud Services and architecture. • Proficiency in C#, SQL, and .NET technologies. • Experience with Azure Event Hub, WebJobs, and microservices-based applications. • Knowledge of application performance monitoring and logging using Datadog. • Familiarity with Agile project management methodologies and tools like JIRA and Confluence. • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills. • Ability to mentor, motivate, and inspire engineering teams.
Preferred Qualifications • Experience managing distributed teams in a fast-paced environment. • Background in developing enterprise-scale applications. • Strong knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines. • Familiarity with security best practices in cloud-based applications. Compensation
We are committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.
The total pay range for this role is $170,000 - $200,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to: skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.
