About the Role
The Senior Manager, Project Management -Will play a dual role in both leading a team and establishing and defining structure and governance for project execution while also from time-to-timer rolling up their sleeves to manage initiatives firsthand
Success in this role demands the ability to lead a team of project managers, while having the professional persistence to drive outcomes, ensure alignment across stakeholders, and navigate challenges to keep initiatives on track. The ideal candidate is highly adaptable, comfortable in both technical and business environments, and skilled at managing a team and a wide range of project types across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
PMO & Project Execution Best Practices
Establish and evolve project management frameworks, governance, and reporting standards for the broader team.
Implement best practices, tools, and templates for the team to continuously improve project execution and cross-functional collaboration across the project management team.
Drive continuous improvement efforts across the team, refining processes to increase efficiency and project success rates.
Provide clear, executive-level reporting, distilling complex details into concise, actionable insights.
Advise product leadership on scaling project management capabilities across the organization.
Support change management efforts, ensuring successful adoption of new processes and technologies.
Project & Program Execution
Work with Initiative Owners to manage a variety of projects from initiation to completion, ensuring on-time and delivery.
Work across business and technical teams, ensuring cross-functional coordination and execution of assigned initiatives.
Proactively identify, manage, and mitigate risks, keeping projects aligned with broader business objectives.
Adapt project scope, timelines, and priorities as needed to meet evolving business needs.
Qualifications & Skills
Proven ability to establish PMO structures while actively managing projects.
Strong ability to synthesize and communicate complex topics in a clear, concise manner for executives.
Persistent and results-driven approach, ensuring accountability and forward momentum.
Experience working across both business and technical teams, ensuring alignment and effective execution.
Experience with agile, waterfall, and hybrid project management methodologies.
Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, or similar project management tools.
PMP, or Agile certifications are a plus.
Experience with a leading consulting practice is a plus.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Technology, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in program and project management team leadership and hands-on execution.
