About the Role
The person in this role will support and nurture important strategic relationships between Caribou and key business partners. The primary objective of these relationships is to efficiently drive qualified prospects to Caribou while meeting or exceeding revenue goals for our partners. Partner examples include affiliates (like Creditkarma, Nerdwallet, Lending Tree, etc.) or businesses in a similar vertical whose customers have similar motivations and need sets. The person in this role will be expected to cultivate strong strategic alignment to enable continual and mutually beneficial growth.
In this role, you will…
Be the day-to-day primary point of contact for key strategic partnerships
Inform long-term strategic direction of partnerships within Caribou
Seek, identify and recommend opportunities to grow partner relationships in a manner that drives success for both Caribou and our partners
Own the creation, prioritization and curation of partner success development roadmaps and collaborate with Product, Engineering, Analytics, Risk and Sales Ops teams to ensure alignment and delivery
Own the cross-functional oversight and management of projects intended to improve, grow and/or optimize partner relationships
Own delivery of partner goals within plan
Proactively monitor partner performance metrics to identify and mitigate any potential operational or environmental issues or blockers to achieving partner success goals
Inform and guide partner performance forecasting
Evaluate, inform and guide strategic partner contract commercial pricing decisions
Define the frequency, timing, agenda and objectives of regular virtual and in-person partner meetings
Define and own the development and distribution of partner reporting tools
Create and nurture partner relationships that are highly collaborative, communicative, responsive and engaged
This role can be based out of our Caribou office in Denver, CO. Alternatively, this role may work remotely from a state where Caribou operates with a preference for the Chicago, IL, Denver, CO or San Francisco, CA markets.* This role requires attendance at regular in-person team and partner meetings. As a result travel should be expected ~20% of the time.

8 years of Affiliate/Partner management experience within a high-growth, technology-driven startup, preferably in the finance, banking, insurance, auto or related industries.
Bachelor degree required; MBA (designation or in progress) a plus.
Critical thinker who can clearly articulate a compelling narrative around an opportunity, and make sound and data-supported recommendations / conclusions.
Strong sense of ownership in work quality and continuous improvement, with past demonstration of independent work management.
Effective project manager who can influence without authority to ensure cross-functional alignment and on-time delivery
Budget and forecasting experience
Sound knowledge of affiliate and partner dynamics and the factors that contribute to and encourage mutual success
Proactive, engaging, friendly and prompt communication style
Sound understanding customer acquisition journey dynamics and funnel optimization
