Apollo’s GraphOS platform helps API platform developers around the world build and operate their data access layers, at scale. GraphOS fundamentally democratizes data and accelerates business transformation. Our Runtime organization owns the critical tier of GraphOS - Core Router and Apollo Federation - the underlying engine powering GraphOS, making it a highly performant, secure, governed, and reliable self-service GraphQL platform.
We are looking for an experienced engineering leader to lead a team playing a critical role in advancing the federation capabilities of Apollo's graph technologies, ensuring compatibility, scalability, and high performance for our users.
What You'll Do
Manage a team of engineers, ensuring high-quality deliverables and aligning them with the organization’s long-term vision.
Drive team-level execution by prioritizing and allocating resources to ensure timely delivery of high-quality, scalable solutions.
Lead teams through change by providing clear direction, fostering alignment, and refining team charters as needed.
Foster a collaborative, high-performing engineering culture, encouraging innovation and supporting team growth.
Work closely with product and engineering leadership to set the technical direction, refine roadmaps, shape the organization, and ensure successful delivery of high-impact projects.
Collaborate with other engineering leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver impactful strategic projects, shaping the future of GraphOS infrastructure.
Foster a high-performing, collaborative team environment based on trust, autonomy, and psychological safety.
Partner with Talent Acquisition to define hiring strategies, and actively attract and retain top engineering talent.
Participate in an on-call rotation as necessary.
