As a Senior Data Analyst in the Snowflake Support organization, your work will provide direct insights about the operations of Snowflake Support and the health of our customers, helping to drive important operational and strategic decisions. We are looking for someone who is able to approach complex problems in an organized and detail-oriented manner. We work with stakeholders to understand their challenges, use data to power decision-making, and tell the story of the outcomes achieved.
YOU WILL:
Operate as an Analyst Business Partner to our internal Support organization, confidently creating and representing data narratives that drive outcomes
Cultivate relationships with internal service teams that allow you to frame and break down complex business problems into key components, and recommend practical solutions.
Improve operational efficiency by developing metrics, self-service tools, and deep analyses that produce actionable insights.
Leverage cutting-edge Snowflake product features to accelerate time-to-insight
Think creatively to find optimal solutions to novel problems, writing and testing code in SQL, Python
Perform ad-hoc analytics that provide insights into business performance and key organizational metrics for our fast-growing Enterprise Support organization
Serve as the authoritative voice ensuring comprehensive data protection; Act as a consummate data steward, fully knowledgeable of all data handling policies and data classification standards.
Proactively identify opportunities for improvement including reporting automation, deep-dive investigations, and new analytical partnerships.
Operate both collaboratively and autonomously, exercising judgment of which approach best applies
Model new data and maintain existing modeled data, and be able to provide feedback on these data models or data collection enhancements needed for accurate and timely reporting
Operate over with structured and unstructured data from various sources including Salesforce CRM, ServiceNow, Jira, Qualtrics
OUR IDEAL SENIOR DATA ANALYST WILL HAVE:
B.S. or M.S degree in Analytics, CS, MIS or equivalent discipline
5+ years of experience with SQL including exposure to complex data models, and solid skill writing SQL queries
Expertise with databases such as Snowflake, Redshift or Teradata; comfortable working with large-scale datasets
5+ years of experience with one or more common data analysis or data manipulation language (Python, R, Spark) and associated libraries/toolkits such as NumPy, pandas, and Scikit
Practical experience using a business intelligence application such as Tableau, ThoughtSpot, or PowerBI; certifying, maintaining and troubleshooting existing dashboards
Skill in creating reporting and dashboards to clearly and quickly convey actionable insights, as well as the ability to tailor communications to different audiences
Advanced skill in Excel or Google Sheets; Working experience with a scripting language such as Bash or Perl
A constant eye for automating, improving and documenting internal processes and workflows
