Senior Counsel, Corporate and Securities
As Senior Counsel, Corporate, Securities and M&A, you will help develop our corporate legal strategy, ensuring we stay ahead in a constantly evolving tech landscape.
This is a full time role that can be held from one of our US hubs or remotely in the United States.
What you’ll do at Figma:
Assist with corporate legal matters, including corporate governance, M&A, venture investing and equity administration
Ensure the Company remains compliant with all applicable corporate and securities laws and regulations, including potential future SEC requirements
Help lead public company readiness projects
Provide support and advice relating to the Company’s expanding international operations, including creating and managing corporate subsidiaries
Help build and maintain a robust, public company-ready corporate compliance program
Build and maintain processes and infrastructure, such as playbooks, templates, metrics, and self-serve tools, to help scale the legal function
Partner with other critical collaborators across accounting, finance, people and communications.
We'd love to hear from you if you have/are:
8+ years of legal experience at a top tier law firm and in-house legal department
A J.D. and are a current member in good standing of at least one U.S. state bar
Deep knowledge of corporate and securities laws and SEC reporting
Experience working on a variety of M&A transactions
Proactive, driven, and adaptable; you should be able to prioritize and balance multiple projects, path-find, and recalibrate advice in view of shifting priorities, legal developments, and risk tolerance
While not required, it’s an added plus if you also have:
Excellent interpersonal skills and business judgment; an ability to distill complex issues and concisely explain why it matters.
A strong self awareness around what you know and what you don’t know. You should have a sense of curiosity and desire to learn what you don’t know.
At Figma, one of our values is Grow as you go. We believe in hiring smart, curious people who are excited to learn and develop their skills. If you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with the points outlined in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyways. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.
