Senior Business Systems Analyst
About the Role
Caribou is looking for a Senior Business Systems Analyst to join our Accounting and Finance team reporting directly to the Controller. This role is crucial for managing and optimizing our financial processes, ensuring our financial systems operate effectively and support accurate reporting.
In this role, you will…
Oversee the administration of our financial systems, including owning the day-to-day operations of NetSuite, UKG, and other finance business systems including providing hands on user support.
Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial data within our financial systems, supporting monthly and year-end close processes.
Assist the team and upper management with building accurate reports, data analysis, change management and support for optimal usage.
Customize financial reports to meet the specific needs of the accounting and finance department.
Maintain compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements.
Troubleshoot system errors, data issues, and workflow problems to ensure minimal disruption to financial operations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop detailed technical solutions, recommend suitable architecture, implement solutions that support new business initiatives and lead relevant meetings.
Liaise with banks, check processing vendors and external consultants for more complex issues and system enhancements.
This role can be based out of our Caribou office in Denver, CO. Alternatively, this role may work remotely from a state where Caribou operates with a preference for the Chicago, IL or San Francisco, CA markets.* This role may require attendance at occasional in-person team meetings.

Bachelor degree in Information Technology, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
4-6 years of experience as a Finance System Administrator with Netsuite and financial systems tools such as UKG, Avalara, etc
Skilled in NetSuite configuration and customization, and managing NetSuite integrations with other business systems.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Solution-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, a high sense of quality and attention to detail.
Experience architecting solutions and being hands-on when needed to develop and troubleshoot code.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
