Senior Brand Designer - Communications
Role Overview:
As a Senior Brand Designer specializing in communication mediums, you will be responsible for creating visually engaging and on-brand designs for a variety of communication materials, primarily focused on slide presentations, sales materials, leadership presentations and company communications. You will work closely with clients, internal teams, and stakeholders to transform complex ideas and information into intuitive, persuasive, and aesthetically pleasing designs that effectively communicate their message.
This is a hands-on role that combines your expertise in graphic design with your understanding of brand identity and communication strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Slide Deck Design:
Design and create high-impact slide decks for internal and client-facing presentations, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines.
Collaborate with subject matter experts to translate complex ideas into visually engaging slide designs that communicate the intended message clearly.
Use typography, imagery, and data visualization techniques to craft compelling, easy-to-understand presentations.
Brand & Visual Identity:
Ensure all slide decks align with the overarching brand identity and visual language.
Create custom graphics, icons, and illustrations that enhance the visual storytelling of the presentation.
Collaborate with marketing, communication, and leadership teams to maintain consistency across all communication mediums.
Communication Design:
Design a variety of communication materials such as infographics, one-pagers, brochures, and other assets to complement the brand’s narrative.
Ensure that all designs are clear, concise, and aligned with the client’s messaging and objectives.
Collaboration & Feedback:
Work closely with stakeholders (including project managers, strategists, and other designers) to gather feedback, refine concepts, and meet design objectives.
Adapt designs based on feedback, ensuring a balance between creativity, functionality, and brand integrity.
Versioning & Adaptability:
Produce versions of slides for various platforms (Zoom, PowerPoint, Google Slides, etc.), ensuring adaptability and seamless viewing experiences across devices.
Required Skills & Experience:
Proven Expertise: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a brand designer, graphic designer, or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing slide deck design and other communication materials.
Advanced Design Tools: Proficient in design software including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), PowerPoint, Google Slides, Keynote, and other related tools.
Branding Knowledge: Deep understanding of brand identity and visual communication principles. Ability to adapt and implement brand guidelines across various mediums.
Storytelling through Design: Ability to transform abstract ideas into visual narratives that resonate with the audience.
Typography & Layout: Expertise in typography, composition, and layout design, with a keen eye for detail and alignment.
Collaboration & Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Ability to take and apply feedback effectively.
Preferred Skills:
Motion Graphics: Familiarity with basic animation or motion design for presentations is a plus.
Data Visualization: Experience designing charts, graphs, and infographics to simplify and enhance data-heavy content.
Video Editing: Experience creating video presentations or incorporating video elements into slide decks.
