As a Senior AS400 Production Support Engineer, you will play a pivotal part in maintaining and optimizing our AS400 (IBM iSeries) systems, ensuring their smooth operation to meet the demands of our business processes. You will be responsible for solving production issues, performing system upgrades, and collaborating with various departments to implement enhancements that support our operational goals. Your expertise will help us maintain high availability, reliability, and performance of our AS400 systems, ensuring seamless business continuity.
In this role, you will
- Monitor and support AS400 production systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose and solve production issues in a timely manner.
- Implement changes and enhancements to existing AS400 applications and systems.
- Collaborate with development teams to support application deployments and updates.
- Prepare and maintain documentation for system processes and procedures.
What you’ll need to succeed (required skills)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience in RPG, RPG IV, RPGILE, CL, CLLE, DB2400 production support.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in forming and performing SQL queries on IBM DB2.
- Experience with monitoring tools and performance tuning techniques.

- Experience in Turnover Implementation tool
- Exposure in conducting/participating in product demonstrations and assessment studies
