Sales Intern - New Verticals (Education)
About the Role:
We are extremely excited about the opportunities we’re seeing to help verticals outside of long term care. This role will sit within the Education vertical, where we connect substitute teachers to K-12 schools. You’ll make a real dent in our sales funnel by engaging prospects over the summer months when admins are in and students are out.
For this internship, we are looking for someone who wants to break into sales and loves the idea of learning by doing - specifically by hitting the phones with real prospects! This role could be the right fit if you have a passion for sales and a desire to drive top-of-funnel growth at a startup within a startup. Excellent interns will receive a return offer.
The duration will be 8-12 weeks long. Precise start and end dates are flexible based on your school schedule.
You should expect to:
Make over 300 dials per week to engage prospects and book demos with the team
Tackle sales operations projects as-needed to support the sales funnel
Track account and decision-maker details in our CRM to enable an efficient sales funnel
Deeply understand our evolving value propositions so that you can quickly engage in quality conversation on the phone
An excellent intern will:
Book 6+ demos for the team every week through top of funnel outreach
Win over workplaces with fast follow-through, strong attention to detail, and palpable customer empathy
Communicate insights and blockers from conversations to help inform how to make our pitch better for workplaces
In return, you get to:
Earn an hourly rate ($15) plus a real un-capped commission package for demos you book (target ~$500, dependent on length of internship)
Receive 1:1 mentorship from one of our experienced Sales Reps throughout the internship
Shadow demos from Account Executives to experience the full cycle of a sale
Receive feedback on calls from the sales team to hone your skillset
Learn about the operational side of sales
The process:
Submit an application and receive a short take home assignment
