Purpose
The Sales Development Specialist is responsible for the initial stages of the sales funnel, their main activity is to generate leads through digital channels and by attending events. They will have to research and prequalify leads, connect with them and generate meetings to present our proposal for collaboration with them, finally handing off the qualified leads to the closers of the sales team.
Key Responsibilities
Research and analyze the market to identify business opportunities with companies
Generate and qualify leads through cold calling, emails, direct messages, and other prospecting strategies.
Develop and maintain relationships with key decision makers in prospective companies.
Conduct virtual as well as face to face sales and use consultative sales approach to acquire new merchants
Set appointments for sales teams when a lead reaches a qualified stage.
Work with your dedicated Account Executives to identify ongoing strategic targets
Maintain an updated database of prospects and potential clients in our CRM.
Work closely with the sales team to ensure a smooth transition of qualified leads into sales opportunities.
Collaborate with sales and marketing team members on strategic sales approaches.
Ensure successful follow through of the sales cycle by maintaining accurate activity and lead qualification information in the CRM application.
Participate in industry events to generate leads and represent the company.
Report to the sales manager with weekly, monthly, and quarterly results.
Position Requirements (Experience & Competencies)
Knowledge in Payment Gateways, Payment Methods, POS Terminals.
+3 years of experience working in sales and business development (New Business, BDR or SDR), in Fintech companies or companies that offer technological services or Media or Advertising Agencies.
Experience using digital prospecting tools, generating leads through social media, networking skills at events, PR skills.
Ability to handle objections and negotiate effectively.
Knowledge of CRM tools (Salesforce)
Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, coupled with excellent listening skills and a positive and energetic in person, by phone or video conference.
Extremely self-motivated to learn and with a diligent work ethic
High level of integrity and strong commitment to building a successful company
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with a distributed sales team.
Strong and professional communication skills -- written, verbal, presentation
Promotes a strong sense of urgency for reaching goals and key deliverables.
