About the Team and Role:
Quora’s Sales team is dedicated to driving revenue through strategic partnerships with Agencies and Direct Clients. We are a data-driven, collaborative, and entrepreneurial team that thrives on enabling partnerships that create value for both our Advertisers and Quora. We enjoy working cross-functionally with other teams and take pride in solving problems creatively.
We are seeking a Sales Development Representative with a background in advertising and/or sales to join our dynamic and fast-paced team and help drive revenue growth. As a key contributor, you will play a pivotal role in:
Prospecting new advertising partners: You will connect with new advertisers using online prospecting tools and email outreach.
Problem-solving and creativity: This role is perfect for someone who loves analyzing data, identifying patterns, solving problems, and thinking creatively.
Sales and networking skills: Strong communication and networking abilities will be critical for building and maintaining fruitful business relationships.
Collaborating with peers: You will partner with our team of Account Executives to facilitate the onboarding of new advertisers. You will share learnings and provide feedback to support meaningful growth of the business.
This role is a contract role running through January 31, 2026.
Responsibilities:
Conduct outbound prospecting through channels such as email and LinkedIn
Research and identify potential advertising clients and decision makers within target account list
Generate email copy and subject line(s), continuously testing and iterating based on learnings
Conduct individualized research to identify data points/recent news that is relevant to each unique brand
Schedule meetings for the sales team with qualified prospects
Collaborate closely with the sales team to refine strategies
Periodically re-engage prior, cold contacts and / or enrich cold accounts with new contacts
Research and trial AI tools that would help improve sales team efficiency
Minimum Requirements:
Availability for meetings and impromptu communication during Quora's “coordination hours' (Mon-Fri: 9am-3pm Pacific Time)
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage and influence prospects.
Previous experience in sales, advertising, or other related field
Self-motivated and adaptable to unstructured environments and frequent change
Sense of resiliency and ability to persist after receiving rejection
Preferred Requirements:
Previous experience with Salesforce
Previous experience with Outreach.io
