Sales Compensation Manager
As a Manager I on the Sales Compensation team, you will work with our Chief Revenue Officer (Head of Sales) and finance leaders to monitor business health, identify underlying trends and make strategic business decisions for Pinterest. In this role, you will support the global sales incentive program, which is a critical role that sits at the center of how Pinterest executes on its global strategy. You will work closely with other teams across Pinterest (Sales Strategy & Operations, Accounting, IT, Internal Audit, Human Resources and Compensation) as well as key executives (CFO, VP Finance) to help drive clarity around our sales performance and manage our variable compensation structure to ensure we are delivering on key strategic objectives. This role will report into the Senior Manager of Sales Compensation in Corporate Finance.
What you’ll do:
Lead the end-to-end delivery of our sales incentive program for the global sales organization to ensure key sales and growth objectives are met
Work in partnership with our Sales and Strategic Operations teams to optimize the allocation of resources across global markets
Consolidate seller data (revenue attainment, OKR goals, attrition, etc.) and peer benchmark data into key insights that will drive the conversations around plan design, compensation structure, and desired seller behaviors
Own the monthly / quarterly accruals and payout calculation processes, including the accompanying SOX review processes to ensure all calculations are in compliance
Create dashboards to scale monitoring of key performance indicators and tools to drive business growth
Leverage superior financial modeling skills in order to deliver bespoke analyses for top-line growth & margin expansion initiatives
What we’re looking for:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Accounting or Finance, or 3+ years of experience in corporate finance, FP&A, investment banking, or other related fields
Finance business partnering experience working directly with sales teams and designing variable compensation plan structures
Exceptional spreadsheet skills (Excel and Google Sheets) with experience creating financial dashboards and models
Excellent communication and presentation skills (Google Slides)
