The Finance Team
The Finance team is focused on enabling Chainlink Labs to operate as a financially healthy and responsible business, building for speed and scale while avoiding unnecessary friction. We manage our capital resources carefully, surveying the road ahead to anticipate and prepare for any turn, and ensure the right resources are allocated for maximum returns. We analyze the business and report on key performance indicators, partner closely with other teams across the company, and ensure that we drive the right business outcomes, proper compliance, and accountability.
We are seeking a highly skilled Quantitative Financial Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of programming expertise, dashboard skills, and a profound understanding of DeFi and crypto trading. You will lead and manage technical projects, execute DeFi and CEX trades, maintain and upgrade existing code repositories, and perform backtesting of investment strategies.
Objectives of this Role
Lead and manage technical projects from concept to execution, ensuring effective project management.
Execute DeFi and Centralized Exchange (CEX) trades efficiently and effectively.
Maintain and upgrade existing code repositories to ensure functionality and scalability.
Perform thorough backtesting of investment strategies and develop robust valuation models.
Utilize your expertise in Python programming, SQL, and econometric modeling to contribute to the team's success.
Skills & Qualifications
Proficiency in Python programming and SQL, including database design and optimization.
Experience in backtesting and building econometric models.
Familiarity with Power BI or similar dashboard creation tools.
Quantitative background with a strong understanding of DeFi and crypto trading.
Project management skills to lead and manage technical projects effectively.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills to effectively convey complex ideas and findings.
Familiarity with Linux and hands-on experience with cloud services, preferably GCP.
Trading experience, particularly with Crypto or Fixed Income products.
Practical knowledge of DeFi protocols and smart contracts.
Knowledge of Risk Management and Fixed Income.
Ability to adapt to new technologies and methodologies quickly.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Preferred Qualifications
Proven ability in developing algorithms and trading strategies applicable to stock or cryptocurrency markets.
Hands-on experience in handling large time-series datasets.
Experience in designing and maintaining low-latency, high-availability asynchronous systems.
