We are looking for an organized, detail-oriented Project Manager to join our growing, distributed team at Coforma.
This role will lead a team of Accessibility Specialists in providing support to our customers' product teams. You’ll be responsible for managing a portfolio of projects and coordinating the teams assigned to those projects within an accessibility and technology context. You’ll be able to lead the team’s delivery cross-functionally through accessibility, research and technical issues.
The ideal candidate will leverage strong situational awareness skills to provide tactical and team leadership throughout the accessibility life cycle and oversee development of critical project integration points with broader foundation and associated deliverables.
You will assist in developing company processes and help guide their implementation and drive organization-wide adoption while maintaining up-to-date guidelines. At this level, you are comfortable navigating both organizational and project ambiguity.

$117,420 to $143,170 Annual Salary + Benefits + Growth Potential
Placement within this range will be based on the competency level of the candidate. An offer will be made at one of the following tiers:
Tier 1: $117,420 — Meets minimum qualification/experience requirements. Beyond onboarding, will need additional guidance and training to perform key responsibilities of the role.
Tier 2: $130,810 — Experienced and fully-competent. Beyond onboarding, can independently perform key responsibilities of the role.
Tier 3: $143,170 — Highly-experienced and can perform all responsibilities of the role at a higher level than expected once onboarding is completed.
To honor our company-wide equitable pay system, the posted salary range and corresponding tier salaries are non-negotiable.

What You'll Do (Responsibilities)
Serve as the primary point of contact and proactively build relationships with stakeholders and project partners
Understand the team’s objectives, systems, and capabilities in order to make decisions about project priorities and help resolve issues
Implement and manage project onboarding templates and processes, including educating team members on roles, responsibilities, and project processes
Day-to-day management and oversight of projects, including scope, schedule, cost/budget, risk, quality, and resources
Build and develop the project team to enable optimal performance by providing purpose, direction, and motivation and creating holistic success for everyone involved
Manage the team’s velocity and continually improve our processes for organizing and completing the work
Coordinate with partner teams to ensure alignment, build understanding, identify and resolve conflicts, and ensure successful outcomes
Report risks, successes, progress, backlog, and failures to stakeholders in a timely, clear, and efficient manner
Monitor time tracking for the team, ensuring all members are tracking time regularly and accurately
Assist with contract coordination by verifying invoices, data checking modifications, tracking options exercised and funding as well as roles allocated, providing deliverable reporting, compliance and risk efforts, etc.
Lead the team and drive results related to contractual objectives and support accessible outcomes
Foster a culture of accessibility across our customers through training and mentorship programs
Track key performance indicators, metrics, key results and report progress to stakeholders
Contribute to the creation and maintenance of accessibility documentation and resources
Who You Are (Requirements)
5+ years of professional work experience
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Project Manager, Delivery Manager, Scrum Master, or Product Manager
Experience in an agency setting managing small- to large-scale digital design and development projects
Experience working with product, design, and engineering teams as a cohesive unit and maintaining open lines of communication in a multi-disciplinary environment
Passion for learning, ability to create and adapt systems, and ability to collaborate with creative, technical, and business stakeholders and team members
Experience using agile frameworks like Lean, Scrum, Kanban, and Test-Driven Development (TDD)
Experience working cross-functionally with strategists, product designers, developers, communications, and other disciplines
Experience managing milestones, dependencies, communications, and stakeholder expectations
Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail
Ability to communicate clearly in writing and orally (whether verbally or through assistive technologies/aids) to increase transparency
Strong competency in situational awareness, situational leadership, and conflict mitigation and resolution
Ability to nurture relationships to help drive prioritization across multiple projects and create ecosystems of success
A proactive, empathetic, persistent, positive, and growth mindset
Full-time resident of the contiguous United States (must be legally authorized to work in the US now and in the future without sponsorship)

Preferred Qualifications and Experience
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM) or SAFe® Scrum Master (SSM) certification
Understanding and familiarity with accessibility constraints, patterns, components, and templates
Knowledge of WCAG and comfort with answering questions about accessibility best practices
Experience working with web accessibility testing tools and assistive technologies2+ years of experience working on a remote team or remote freelancing
Prior professional services, government, federal, or private consulting experience
Comfortable collaborating with product owners and designers to integrate accessibility into the development lifecycle
Familiar with both automated and manual testing methods
Comfortable using various forms of assistive technology (Ex. VoiceOver, JAWS, Talkback, Axe, etc.)

The salary range for this position is $117,420 to $143,170, in line with our company-wide equitable pay scale.
