We are looking for a leader in data science or analytics to be a Product Insights Manager, overseeing a data science team, completing complex data science projects, and partnering closely with our User Research team to craft platform strategies that are rooted in evidence, and deliver on a results-oriented, qualitative and quantitative insights roadmap.
Our advertising platform currently supports a billion dollar advertising business, and you will support personalized, engaging and performant advertising experiences. Your and your team’s impact will range from building our strategic understanding of our customers, to tackling measurement and optimization requirements for our platform, to designing novel frameworks that enable teams to measure success and iterate overtime.
What You'll Do
- Lead and develop a growing team of Product Insights Data Scientists within Spotify Advertising; setting strategy and responsible for day-to-day execution with your team.
- Perform analyses on large sets of data to extract actionable insights that will help drive product decisions.
- Drive iterative improvement through efficient experimentation and causal analysis.
- Work with leadership in Product Insights, Product Management, Engineering, Design, and Sales to ensure product strategy has effective measurement and insights input.
- Use your strategic skills to communicate findings through digestible data stories that connect to the business and impact decision making for our partners.
- Be a proactive, inspiring leader who educates and advances the use of Product Insights throughout the organization.
Who You Are
- 2+ years of experience leading a data science team focused on informing the product development process through quantitative and qualitative methods.
- Experience working on research and insights problems related to advertising platforms or technology products.
- Curious and capable of tackling ambiguous problem spaces and challenges.
- Able to partner cross-functionally with ease, that is you have the technical capabilities to do the work, and the ability to translate technical data findings for our stakeholders use.
- Experience performing and leading team members through analysis with large datasets, building statistical models, creating data visualizations, and running experiments.
- Exposure to evaluative and formative qualitative research methods.
- Have the technical and soft skills to mentor team members.
- A great storyteller and communicator, and can build relationships with a diverse set of colleagues.

The United States base range for this position is $134236 - $191765, plus equity. The benefits available for this position include health insurance, six month paid parental leave, 401(k) retirement plan, monthly meal allowance, 23 paid days off, 13 paid flexible holidays. This range encompasses multiple levels. Leveling is determined during the interview process. Placement in a level depends on relevant work history and interview performance. These ranges may be modified in the future.
