Privacy Engineer

The Privacy Engineer is responsible for developing and implementing solutions to ensure privacy policies are correctly implemented.
As a Privacy Engineer, a typical day might include a mix of the following:
Conduct technical reviews for new e-commerce, marketing, and business intelligence capabilities to identify privacy concerns.
Work closely with technical and non-technical business teams to develop solutions which enhance revenue generation.
Provide e-commerce, marketing, and business intelligence teams with the best practices to protect users’ privacy and mitigate any risk.
What you’ll bring to the table:
Exceptional project management skills.
Demonstrated understanding of global privacy concerns related to e-commerce sites.
Proven expertise with remediation of privacy risk for retail companies.
Relationship-first approach to building a privacy service.
2+ years privacy experience with GDPR and/or CPRA support or implementation.
What can help you really stand out:
Hands-on experience with SaaS privacy tools (ex. OneTrust, CookieBot, etc.) and marketing tools (ex. Google Ads, Tag Manager, Consent Mode).
Examples of solving e-commerce, marketing, and business intelligence privacy challenges to drive sales.
Experience protecting US personal health data privacy.
The Details:
Location: We are based in Seattle and although local candidates are preferred, not required
Hours: Typical PST (Pacific Standard Time) business hours, with flexibility
Physical requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Ability to manage long periods of screen time.
Travel requirements: Up to 10%
Approximate Salary Range Based on Experience and Location:
$140,000 - $160,000 USD/annually
