You will work closely with security and privacy engineers, software and data engineers, product managers, and legal, product, and engineering leadership to design, develop, and maintain effective data handling guidelines and policies.
In this role, you’ll set technical direction, create strategies and plans, develop great technical documentation, and facilitate alignment across cross-functional teams to ensure our guidance, tooling, and practices are driving tangible data privacy improvements both in the management of personal information and accountability of our privacy program. Desired Background:
You’re passionate about privacy and data protection!

You can advise on what Privacy Enhancing Technologies to use and explain why they make a difference.
You are familiar with data cataloging and classification approaches and best practices at scale.
You utilize a variety of communication and collaboration tools and methods to facilitate effective alignment with cross-functional stakeholders, including legal.
You have prior experience in software development, large-scale distributed systems, or data engineering technologies (Hive, Presto, Spark).
Stunning colleagues come from different education levels and backgrounds. The Netflix culture determines who we hire, how we work together and how we make decisions. You will be surrounded by a great team and empowered to produce your best work.
Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options.
