About the Role
As a Principal WebRTC Engineer on the Real-time video team you will report directly to the VP of Video Clients. You will build a real-time video platform that powers both Twitch and AWS customers using AWS Interactive Video Service (IVS).
You will work across client SDK and backend teams to build a world class real-time video platform built on WebRTC.
You can work remotely in the United States, or from Irvine, CA; Seattle, WA, and Salt Lake City, UT.
You Will:
Provide technical guidance on the vision of WebRTC within Twitch Video and IVS.
Guide the implementation of WebRTC across multiple teams within the real-time video organization
Improve our WebRTC server and client stacks for increased efficiency, TTV and QoS over mobile networks.
Investigate and explore new technologies to improve our real-time communication services.
You Have:
8+ years of experience in C++
8+ years of experience developing on WebRTC
Deep understanding of signaling concepts for WebRTC
Hands-on experience debugging and optimizing WebRTC stacks (both backend and client SDKs)
Experience in design and maintaining C APIs
Bachelors/master's degree in computer science or Engineering
Bonus Points
Is an active member of the WebRTC community
Have had your changes accepted into libwebrtc mainline
Experience with low-level mobile development.
Experience working in open source projects
