Nuna Engineering builds technology to enable users (from data scientists to analysts to policy-makers) to understand healthcare data while ensuring its integrity, security and privacy. As the Principal Engineer on the Rewards AI and Backend team, you will be crafting an innovative new mobile experience that will redefine the boundaries of health and wellness. YOUR OPPORTUNITIES

•  Lead the design and implementation of robust and scalable backend systems and APIs to support our consumer product platform

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements, architecture, and design solutions that meet business objectives

• Mentor and guide a team of software engineers in best practices, code reviews, and technical direction

• Drive initiatives to optimize system performance, reliability, and scalability

• Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continually improve our systems and processes

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications

•  Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field

• 10+ years of experience in software development with a focus on backend engineering, API design, and system architecture

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Kotlin, or similar languages

• Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and cloud technologies

• Experience working in a consumer product company or similar fast-paced environment is preferred

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment

We take into account an individual’s qualifications, skillset, and experience in determining final salary. This role is eligible for health insurance, life insurance, retirement benefits, participation in the company’s equity program, paid time off, including vacation and sick leave. The expected salary range for this position is $223,000 to $273,250. The actual offer will be at the company’s sole discretion and determined by relevant business considerations, including the final candidate’s qualifications, years of experience, and skillset.
