HubSpot’s product partnerships team is on a mission to scale the app ecosystem to help millions of businesses grow better. Today, there are over 1,600 app partners - including companies like Gong, PandaDoc, Aircall, and 6sense - that are helping HubSpot to attract and retain customers.
Our team is passionate about building valuable partnerships that create joint wins for HubSpot, partners, prospects, and shared customers. To continue to drive the growth of our ecosystem, we’re looking for a Principal Program Manager to build processes and workflows connecting our partners more closely to our product and developer teams.
As a Principal Program Manager of Product Partnerships, your responsibilities will include developing a strategy for how our ecosystem, extensibility, and different product teams can work more efficiently and productively with our app partners. You will also be responsible for fostering internal alignment around the strategy and managing the execution of the strategy. As a principal individual contributor, you will be driving cross-functional alignment, persuading various stakeholders of key initiatives, and helping to execute these initiatives.
As the Product Partnership team’s leader on product and developer alignment, you will have an exciting opportunity to drive customer value through supporting deeper and more complementary integrations, a better partner experience, and a new partner program. A member of the Product Partnerships Program team, you will also work closely with product, engineering, Developer Relations, Ecosystem Quality, Platform Marketing, and Marketplace product teams.
We are looking for people who have a strong understanding of partnerships, APIs, and product management who can champion the right processes, reporting, and workflows to drive deeper alignment between our product teams and ecosystem partners.
In this role, you’ll get to:
Design the strategy and own the execution to build collaborative processes and mature feedback loops from product partners to HubSpot product, extensibility, and engineering teams
Build alignment and processes with Ecosystem Quality and Developer Relations to ensure HubSpot is investing its technical resources in the most impactful partners and to enable the long tail of partners to uplevel their apps
Collaborate with the Marketplace team to ensure the Marketplace and partner portal is meeting partner needs and driving further partner investment
Work with Ecosystem Quality, Developer Relations, Product, and Platform Marketing to ensure product app feedback on extensibility and HubSpot product reaches all relevant internal stakeholders at the right time, and that partners are effectively notified of product and extensibility updates
Develop product expertise in app partner categories that fill key HubSpot product white space by developing processes with HubSpot product teams and with app partners, as well as by engaging in regular market research
We’re looking for someone who is:
Skilled at designing and managing SaaS product/technology/ISV partner programs that successfully orchestrate partners and internal product teams to drive more value for customers
Incredibly organized and able to keep complex projects with multiple dependencies on track
Data-driven in formulating strategy, making and analyzing decisions, and reporting results
Well-versed in internal and external stakeholder management, including executive stakeholder management, and capable of driving alignment and change management through persuasion and influence
Knowledgeable on core product and engineering concepts related to integrations, such as APIs, webhooks, or betas, and knowledge of how product teams operate and prioritize work
Excited to work cross functionally in a largely remote and global environment with multiple workstyles
A strong communicator across various formats, channels, and audiences
