Principal Product Solutions Engineer
EDB seeks a passionate and experienced Principal Product Solutions Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be crucial in bridging the gap between our innovative software solutions and the users who depend on them.
You will be responsible for creating and delivering compelling technical content, building real-world demos that showcase the integration of EDB technologies with common enterprise and open-source tools, and educating both internal teams and external users on how to best leverage EDB's Postgres-based solutions in complex, real-world environments.
This role requires a unique blend of technical expertise, creativity, and communication skills. You should be a problem-solver at heart, with a passion for technology and a knack for explaining complex concepts in a clear and engaging way.

Your impact will be:
Design, build, and validate solutions that combine EDB technologies with partner/ecosystem tools and software, ensuring compatibility and best practices for optimal performance and functionality.
Create and maintain comprehensive best practice guides and documentation for deploying and managing integrated solutions, addressing common challenges and use cases.
Work closely with engineering and documentation teams to identify and address any gaps or issues in integrated solutions, ensuring seamless functionality and user experience.
Develop and maintain a library of recipes and best practice guides that align with customer environments, expectations, and development patterns.
Provide training and support to internal technical teams, including sales engineers, customer success managers, and professional services, on how to use EDB's software in real-world scenarios.
Take product features and technologies and turn them into real-world examples, best practices, and tutorials around deployments and integrations.
You will be an evangelist (part DevRel, part Architect) teaching users, internal staff, and customers how to do cool things with our products and with ecosystem tools.
What you’ll bring:
10-15+ yrs solutions software engineering experience for complex, data-intensive offerings with enterprise customers.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills. Able to explain complex topics and provide audience-appropriate summarizations.
Solid understanding of modern product development processes.
Solid understanding of database fundamentals (types, uses, and features of databases).
Strong documentation skills-apply best practices and common architectures used within our clients common infrastructure.
Ability to develop strong relationships with key stakeholders in product, engineering, and sales.
What will give you an edge:
Advanced technical degree preferred, but not required.
Understanding of the Postgres ecosystem, used/managed Postgres.
Knowledge of OSS and OSS communities (not just Postgres, though that’s a double plus!).
