What your impact will be:
Benefits Administration:
Managing and overseeing the daily operations of employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), and other offerings.
Enroll new employees in benefit plans and process qualifying life event changes.
End-to-end management of the annual open enrollment cycle and communicate plan changes effectively.
Leave of Absence Management:
Administer leave of absence processes, including medical, personal, disability, and FMLA
Interpret FMLA and ADA implications and partner with People Partners to support employees during leave of absence.
Compliance and Reporting:
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including ACA, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, and FMLA.
Prepare and file required reports, including Form 5500 and ACA filings.
Update and maintain benefit policies and procedures in line with legal requirements.
Employee Support & Communication:
Serve as the primary point of contact for employees’ benefits-related inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
Provide education and resources to help employees understand and maximize their benefits.
Address and resolve employee concerns and escalate complex issues to management or vendors when necessary.
Vendor Management:
Partner with benefits providers to ensure seamless service delivery.
Evaluate vendors and assist in negotiating contracts and renewals.
Data Management and Analysis:
Maintain accurate benefits records and employee data in HRIS systems.
Analyze benefits usage trends to recommend program improvements or cost-saving opportunities.
Program Development:
Support the design and implementation of new benefits offerings to enhance employee satisfaction and competitiveness.
Collaborate with HR leadership on wellness initiatives and incentives.
What you will bring:
3-5 years of experience in benefits administration or a related HR function.
Strong knowledge of federal and state benefit regulations.
Proficiency in HRIS and benefits administration platforms (Workday preferred).
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
