The Role
Wealthsimple is looking for an experienced Partnership/Channel Manager to help grow our Wealthsimple for Business (W4B) product line (group savings plans). In this role you will be responsible for driving qualified sales opportunities from existing and emerging partnerships including Benefit Brokers, Technology partners, Consultants, and other 3rd party channel players. Reporting to the Go-To-Market Lead for Wealthsimple for Business, you will work alongside a team of Account Executives, Customer Success Managers, and the Chief Commercial Officerto own both the long term strategy and day to day operations. Applicants should be self-starters, relationship oriented, analytical, and passionate.
Responsibilities:
Own the holistic partnership strategy defining W4B's path to succeeding with our channel partners
Drive growth of W4B by producing qualified sales opportunities from referral partners into our Sales team.
Develop and implement a strategic plan to grow the volume of referrals from existing partners while also growing the referral network, optimizing for pipeline impact.
Build strong relationships with our partners across all functional levels - Executives, Brokers, and Administrators.
Develop a seamless workflow and onboarding experience for partners and their clients, diving deep into tech and data flows, considering deal and implementation velocity, and communication.
Collaborate with Marketing and W4B leadership to develop campaigns and communication programs for partners
Play an active role in product development cycles advocating for partner needs and being accountable for delivering committed upgrades
Skills and Experience:
5+ Years of experience in employer benefits, consultant/broker, or HR tech industry
Previous working relationships with stakeholders at Canadian benefit brokerages or consulting firms
Previous experience working in or with sales teams in a pipeline building capacity
Experience developing and delivering presentation materials as well as training and partner collateral to scale third party distribution successfully
Track record of establishing and growing strategic relationships
Strong communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills including having a high EQ
Demonstrates a bias towards action
Eager to build programs from the ground up and understands how to level up functions over time
