On-Call Video Editor

We frequently have exciting projects in process, and periodically will need short to long-term contractors to partner with our content development team. As projects arise, our team will reach out to qualified candidates within the contractor pool with more information on the scope and expected duration of the project, as well as providing detailed information on compensation. We periodically have projects available for a remote on-call video editor who will work with our production team to create engaging, high quality videos for tens of thousands of students all ‘round the world! These positions can be worked remotely, and typically are scoped for approximately 30 hours per week.
The remote on-call video editor must be able to edit course content in Adobe Premiere.
A qualified candidate has:
A strong reel showcasing their editing skills and visual storytelling ability
Minimum 2 years experience in Adobe Premiere, Adobe Illustrator, After Effects
Experience animating 2D and 3D animations
Strong media management and organizational skills
Takes direction well but also has sound editorial judgement
Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication
Juggles a variety of tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while remaining calm, organized, and flexible. Should be comfortable being heads-down in a long-term, in-depth editing task, as well as hitting pause to jump quickly onto an urgent assignment.
Possesses solid communication skills and can give and take constructive feedback well
Constantly seeks opportunities to develop technical skills, learns well from failure, and isn’t afraid to ask questions
