The Role We Need:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Temporary Manual QA Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring our web applications deliver a seamless, high-quality user experience. Your ability to identify and resolve issues, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and uphold rigorous quality standards will be key to our success.

We need both a proactive and adaptable QA Engineer who thrives in dynamic startup environments. The ideal candidate possesses a blend of technical expertise, analytical prowess, and a passion for delivering exceptional software products. They should be able to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, drive continuous improvement in testing processes, and contribute to the company's rapid growth through their dedication to quality assurance.
Here’s what you’ll do day-to-day:
Conduct comprehensive manual testing of web applications to identify, document, and track software issues with precision.
Perform thorough UI testing to ensure a consistent and engaging user experience across multiple browsers and devices.
Execute API testing to validate backend functionality, reliability, and performance.
Create, execute, and maintain detailed test cases, documenting results and crafting thorough bug reports using tools like JIRA or similar platforms.
Manage and optimize test cases, with familiarity in tools like TestRail being a significant advantage.
Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to uphold high-quality standards throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Enhance the quality assurance process by identifying opportunities to improve testing methodologies and practices.
Conduct regression testing to verify stability and reliability before each release.
Work within CI/CD environments, integrating tests into the deployment pipeline to support continuous delivery.
Continuously evaluate and improve testing processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance overall product quality and team efficiency.
Here’s what you’ll need to be successful:
2+ years of hands-on experience in manual testing, with a focus on web applications.
Strong expertise in UI testing and API testing techniques.
Proven ability to create detailed bug reports and manage them effectively.
Proficiency with bug-tracking tools like JIRA and test management tools such as TestRail (or equivalent).
Solid understanding of the SDLC and experience working in CI/CD environments.
Basic knowledge of JavaScript automation tools such as Playwright or Selenium is a plus.
Strong English communication skills, with a minimum B2 level proficiency.
Interview Process:
Your application will be reviewed for possible next steps by the Hiring Manager.
If you meet eligibility requirements, the next step would be a video interview with a member of the PeopleOps team for about thirty (30) minutes.
If warranted, the next step would be a video interview with our QA Lead at PadSplit for two (2) hours.
If warranted, then we move to contract!
$20,000 - $30,000 a year
Temporary Contract Role – 4 Months
This is a short-term, temporary contract role with a duration of four (4) months.
