Manager - People Tech Engineering
Are you passionate about employee experience and designing impactful solutions for employees? The IT Employee Experience team is looking for a highly motivated and results-oriented Manager of People Technology to maintain, enhance, and optimize our people-focused technology solutions. This role will be responsible for the development strategy, implementation, and maintenance of our HR and Payroll systems in support of our business objectives and to continuously improve the employee experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HR and Payroll processes, deep technical expertise in HCM systems and integrations, and proven leadership, collaboration, and communication skills.
What you’ll do:
You possess a mix of technical strength, business strength, and the ability to navigate stakeholders across different business areas. You have experience building cross-functional relationships across engineering and business peers to ensure objectives are well defined and clearly understood. You are able to navigate working at the strategic level (e.g. function and organizational design, understanding customer sentiment and demand, leading through change management) and at the tactical level (e.g. analyzing data and metrics, team management, solving problems, being a force multiplier).
Partner with the strategic product leader to providing technical expertise and architectural guidance as we look to further enhance, scale and optimize our platform in support of continuing to evolve our technology roadmap
Develop and implement best in class architecture for all system integrations, data flows and processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, HR, Benefits, Talent, Payroll, to gather requirements and ensure seamless integration with existing and new systems/vendors and processes.
Continually engage and partner with stakeholders to drive and deliver technology enhancements and projects to scale our HR/Payroll systems.
Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers, ensuring adherence to SLAs and contractual agreements.
Design, architect and deliver technology solutions and enhancements to increase efficiency and automation, improve our ability to scale for the future, and remove friction points from the employee experience.
Champions technical excellence by setting and maintaining high standards for quality and timeliness of output, clearly defining and communicating technical requirements and project goals, leveraging expertise to influence cross-functional strategies, ensuring high system availability and effective incident resolution, and proactively addressing systemic issues to enhance team agility and performance
Manage and participate in HR technology maintenance, implementation, and improvement projects.
Ensure data integrity and accuracy by implementing best practices and governance frameworks.
Lead and mentor a team of talented system engineers and analysts, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
What we’re looking for:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
8+ years of experience in HR technology management or similar roles, with minimum 5+ years in a managerial role in a global organization.
Deep technical expertise in HCM systems (Workday experience highly preferred).
Proficiency with JSON, Workday Studio, Workday calculated fields, and Integrations. Workday Prism and Extend experience, highly preferred.
Proven track record of successfully leading HR system implementations and optimizations.
Experience managing vendor & outsourcing relationships is required.
Strong Leadership and Managerial skills to lead a team of integrations developers and cross functional teams to deliver timely solutions and run highly efficient support
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives concurrently.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and navigate cross-cultural and cross-functional environments
Nimble to deliver for stakeholders: You know how to navigate hurdles and stay focused on great customer experience.
Strong understanding of SOX controls, processes and procedures.
Ability to coach and role model development best practices across the organization

Strong understanding of Agile principles and methodologies
