About the role
As the Manager of the Financial Planning team, you will be responsible for the team that supports our self-directed Premium and Generation clients with their financial planning needs.
This is not a traditional financial planning team. We are the first company in Canada to proactively provide financial planning advice to self-directed clients and we are looking for someone with the ability to grow a high performing team that delivers high quality advice, at scale.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Lead and grow a team of financial planners focused on providing an unprecedented advice experience to our clients.
Coach and develop a team of financial planners.
Foster a positive and aligned work environment and collaborate with many other teams and leaders across functions.
Own your net deposits targets, activity metrics and performance, optimizing for sales funnel, productivity and client experience.
Leverage data to uncover insights that drive team optimization.
Develop and deliver the ultimate client journey.
Work directly with our Premium and Generation clients.
Skills and experience weโre looking for:
Client-focused - Always put the client first
People Management - Must have at least 2 years experience in a previous management role or 2 years of Wealthsimple experience to be considered for this role.
Track Record - Record of consistently driving a team to hit KPIs.
Excellence mindset - Always striving to know more, grow in your role, and master your craft.
Client Experience - Must have 5 years experience working with clients in the financial services industry
Technology - Embraces technology and the role it plays in financial services.
Designations - CFP or IQFP at minimum.
Analytical - Proactively uncovering insights through data to drive recommendations
Adaptability - Priorities and direction can evolve quickly. You should have a positive can-do attitude and be adaptable to evolving business goals
Strong communication - With the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and lead with context
Self-starter - When you see a need, you address it
